I went to the Bojangles located at 5918 University Parkway today (January 26, 2013). I drove through the drive through lane and pulled up to the box where you order. I ordered a chicken biscuit and small bo rounds. When I ordered my food the lady told me that the bo round will take 4 minutes to be ready. I said ok. My first thought was why do you not have one of your most popular items ready to go for your customers? There was an suv in the drive through line in front of me sitting at the drive through window where you pay and get your food. The suv had obviously been sitting there a while because they had already cut their vehicles motor off. I sat waiting behind this suv for an additional seven (7) minutes finally, the lady in the suv was handed her food. I saw the lady in the suv reach her arm out of the suv window and she had a see through empty drink cup in her hand. She was trying to give it to the Bojangles lady at the drive through window. I had my window down at this point ready to pay and get my food. I was thinking my bo rounds and food should be ready by now as I had already been waiting seven (7) minutes. I heard the lady in the suv ask the Bojangles lady if see would please throw the empty cup away in her trash can inside. The lady refused and said NO I CAN'T!! She said it with a snotty attitude and raised her voice. I thought man she obviously should not be working here if she is going to treat customers this way. The lady in the suv was so polite even after the employee of Bojangles was so snotty to her. The lady in the suv said "Surely, you do not want me to drop this right here in your parking lot?" The Bojangles employee said "I DON'T CARE! !!!! IT DOES NOT MATTER TO ME!!! The lady in the suv dropped the cup and drove off. The cup landed on the ground in the drive through line right beside the drive through window. I drove up to the window meanwhile, trying to avoid hitting the cup/trash now lying in the drive through lane. I was shocked! That was so ridiculous!!! What was the big deal about throwing the cup away. How dare this employee talk and act that way to a customer. I got to the drive through window and paid for my order. I was ready to go by now I had been sitting in line for over ten (10) minutes and there was only one car in front of me when I arrived. Also, it was a few minutes after 4 pm. It was not lunch or dinner time so it is not like they had a rush of customers or something. The lady at the drive through window proceeded to tell me to pull up to the black bars which were directly in front of me about a car length up and wait longer for my BO Rounds! WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!!!!!! I went ahead and pulled up but decided I will not be coming back to this Bojangles as they are unprepared, slow service, very rude to their customers and obviously did not care about their jobs or Bojangles as a company. I sat there waiting an additional six (6) minutes till finally, a man came out and handed me my food in a bag. HALLELUJAH! I can leave this place! I will not be going back after having to wait 16 minutes just to get a biscuit and bo rounds. I could have slaughtered a chicken and cooked it myself in less time than that! Fast Service my butt!!!! Where's the convenience in that? That is sixteen (16) of my life I will...
Read moreFor the second time in the last month, we pulled up to the drive thru with plenty of time to spare before closing & the lights were off and no one came over the speaker to take our order. We waited a few minutes & decided to pull up to see if there was a sign on the door with new hours due to shortages or COVID, in general…nothing. Not to mention, there was a team member at the window, back turned & covering the speaker on their mic. We waited to see what other cars did & saw someone be waited on and a line start to form (after the initial car waited 5 minutes or so). So we pulled back through & got behind 3 or 4 cars that were waiting (lights still off, mind you). We heard them tell one customer they didn’t have a couple of things & as they pulled off, they turned all of the lights back on & started taking orders. The next person requested something & they said itd be 5 mins, the customer said that was fine & then they stated they actually didn’t have any of that item. We pulled up, they were out of our drinks (no biggie!) then as we pull-up to pay, they leave the window up as they discuss if they even have the tenders for our order & 4 or 5 team members are trying to give the manager this answer while they wait to take our payment because no one was sure if they had enough supremes for their order after they already took the order. We get our order & there are no biscuits in our combos, no sauces, and our fries were cold (not lukewarm, they felt like they’d been in the fridge for a while & someone tried to heat them up in the microwave).
This review is long overdue. Usually, we move on past the poor customer service, the long wait times, and the amount of times we’re told they don’t have any of the options we want, but tonight the fact that they turned the lights off and poorly managed whatever supposed shortages they had was ridiculous. There was no explanation, no apologies, nothing….just poor customer service & what felt like a waste of our money. We understand nationwide shortages & maybe closing when we’re 5 minutes out from closing times but it was an hour early & the second time we’ve come in an hour before closing where they’ve already my shut the lights off. Not to mention the managers lack of customer service & guidance to its team members on how to best address whatever was happening, was less than okay. Overall, we love Bojangles & hate that this was the experience tonight but we’re more than disappointed in...
Read moreLast night was my first and last time eating at this restaurant. We used the mobile app and checked in when we arrived. The app said our food was ready. We sat in the car for about 10 minutes. No one showed up. It was obvious that the worker at the drive-through window saw us in the parking spot. Still no one. We went inside and stood at the counter for several minutes while every employee made eye contact with us and said nothing. I've never been ignored by so many people making eye contact with me. The air felt tense like we were bothering them. Eventually a worker came up and gave us our order that had been sitting up on a shelf.
We took it to the soda station to check its accuracy. We were missing strips, pickles, ranch, and French fries. Getting those items took another several minutes despite there being no other customers inside the restaurant. At one point, the employee helping us rectify the order just walked away. Then she yelled from across the kitchen asking what else we needed. No one told us they were out of pickles or ranch until we asked for them.
Some of the food was cold. Likely because it sat for so long. The biscuits were dry. The chicken sandwiches were fine.
Cleanliness? Abhorrent. It smells of mildew and rotten food in there. The self-serve ice tea pitched on the counter had no lid. There were puddles under it and in front of the register. I was leery to eat the food.
This entire visit took about 20 minutes despite ordering ahead of time. I'm not sure how the health department hasn't shut it down.
Avoid this place. Dairio's is...
