I visited this spot around lunchtime on 2/28/25, as it came highly recommended by a friend. I expected it to be busy, but I was surprised to find the place in complete chaos. Upon entering, there was no communication from staff about how the line worked. Two employees were standing at the register, doing nothing, while the line stretched into the dining area. People were also standing at the pastry case, trying to decide what they wanted, which made it even harder for those who knew what they wanted to quickly place an order.
When it was finally my turn, I ordered my items and clearly told the staff member at the pastry case that I wanted my quiche and Sea Salt Chocolate Chunk Cookie warmed. After completing the transaction, the employee at the register placed my items in the bag without the them being warmed, I assume nobody communicated to her that I wanted them warmed. As expected, when I checked, they were still cold.
While waiting for my latte, I informed another staff member, who was prepping salads, that my food hadn’t been warmed. She quickly placed the quiche in the oven and handed it back to me. However, I had to wait at least 10 more minutes for my cookie to be warmed. During this time, the staff member that was preparing salads and the barista was discarding coffee grounds, while my cookie sat uncovered on the counter, exposed to the environment.
After a long and frustrating wait, I was finally able to try my food. The quiche was delicious, but the Sea Salt Chocolate Chunk Cookie was not warm enough—the chocolate chips had melted, but the cookie itself was crunchy and cold. Later in the day, I had the strawberry crunch cookie, which tasted completely different from the first time I had it. It was dense, dry, and, as a baker myself, I could tell it had...
Read moreI've been so excited for this place to finally open up! I arrived first thing for their grand opening - I actually got here at 6:45am and sat in my car!
They were still finalizing getting ready but everything looked great from the outside? It's a bright, clean, spacious place with lots of seating and plenty of breakfast and lunch goodies, plus wine!
Arriving right at 7am, I'll have to save the wine for next time! This morning I got a drip coffee with caramel and two macarons (coffee and lemon poppyseed). I specifically requested the coffee in a mug since I wanted to sit for a bit and read. The macarons were served in a to go bag so I just placed them on my coffee saucer :)
The coffee was tasty, definitely a smaller portion - maybe 6oz. The macarons were good too (I'm not the harshest sugar critic, if it's sweet, I can't hate it) but a little cold and harder, I wish the inside was either warmer or just a bit creamier.
Service was great- for opening day, everyone was a little frantic, and expectedly so, but they greeted us warmly and took care of us with all smiles!
I think this spot will be a hit and I can't wait...
Read moreI love bakeries and coffee so I was excited to try this place. I’ve gone twice to compare my experiences. Bottom line, it’s the priciest bakery I’ve been to and its food is not as good as other bakeries. I’ve had two of the fancy pastries and they were dry dry dry and I didn’t finish them. Bobby Boy does it better and for cheaper. The loaf of bread I bought was good, but it cost $11. That’s pricy bread. The coffee is good, but it’s self-serve and there were grounds in the pot and no lids for the cups in sight. The raspberry croissant was good, but I wasn’t prepared for it to be full of whipped cream, so just be aware. the staff are doing their best and are lovely people, but it’s a bit chaotic behind the counter and that’s on management. Espresso drink wait times were up to 10 min, I had to wait after I paid just to be handed the two pastries I got to go. Ultimately, if you want a similar, but better quality food and cheaper experience I’d say go to Bobby Boy, Louie and Honey, or...
