I posted the following review three months ago, and now feel the need to post again. I called again to place a call in order. I was immediately put on hold, but when the girl finally came to the phone, I advised I wanted to place a call in order. She said ok, and I began ordering. After starting on my second sandwich, a guy says "you wanted to place an order?" Expecting crappy customer service, I just started ordering again. The guy rudely interrupted me and says "we don't have bread...we got wraps and bowls". Confused, I asked when they would have bread and was told "about thirty minutes". The place closed in 40 minutes. How does a SANDWICH SHOP not have BREAD? How can you CLAIM you'll have bread 5-10 minutes before you CLOSE? I asked for the manager and was told "yeah, that's me"... I asked for a store manager, regional manager, district manager phone number and the response was "yeah, there ain't one". Since, I've found out that this is a franchise store, owned by someone named Hunt. So, not only does the University store give horrible customer service, call themselves a sandwich shop yet not have bread, but they also employ rude people that are complete liars. Any future Jersey Mikes purchases will be done at the Cloverdale store. . .IF there EVER is another!
3 months prior... The food is good, but the service is quite poor. If you try to place a call in order, GOOD LUCK! There is one or two employees that constantly have the phone busy with their personal calls. I have literally called for over 30 minutes on multiple occasions only to be met with a...
Read moreSubs, but it's not Subway or Jimmy John's. First visit. I ordered a regular size sub (they also have mini and giant). I got a number 5 which includes provolone, and 2 types of meat. Got it Mike's way, which comes with onion, lettuce, tomato, the juice (olive oil, red vinegar mix) and a spice blend. With combo, chips and drink, total was $10. First visit was over 4 years ago. Visit today ordered the Jersey Fav (#2) regular (provolone, ham, and cappacuolo) with chips and drink, price was a little over $13.
This was a great sub. Cheese and meat is sliced right there, all the ingredients tasted fresh. Mike's way is all you need. The juice and spices were delicious on my sub.
Service was fast and friendly. Clean place for sure. Great job on today's visit, with a lunch rush in front of me of at least 20 people when I got there. I looked at the time and it was past 11:15, and by 11:30 I was already getting my food. I thought the workers were doing awesome getting everybody moved along. There was also a ton of mobile orders being processed.
Parking and restaurant are small, but you should...
Read moreMy husband and I visited the Jersey Mike’s location at 5940 University Parkway in Winston-Salem, NC for the first time around 6 PM on August 6, 2025. Josh and the two other gentlemen working with him were all exceptionally friendly and personable, creating a welcoming atmosphere right from the start.
We chose to dine in, and the dining area was spotless and well-maintained. Out of all the Jersey Mike’s locations we’ve visited, this one truly stands out as the best.
While Jersey Mike’s may be slightly more expensive than some competitors, it’s absolutely worth it. Watching the meat sliced fresh in front of you, paired with high-quality ingredients and soft bread, makes a noticeable difference—you can truly taste the freshness.
If you’re looking for great food and excellent customer service, I highly recommend this location. We will definitely...
