I have ordered from this Panera Bread location for several years due to its proximity to my job. I can honestly say over the past 3 years the food and service have declined, and in the past 6 months a drastic decline. Despite countless errors and “oversites”, I usually have my food orders through the app and delivered since I am unable to leave my job for lunch. This time was the absolute worst. I ordered a cup of Cream of Chicken & Wild Rice Soup, Half Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich with Light Salt & Pepper, Pickled Red Onions, Arugula, Spinach, and On the Side Country Mustard, a bag of chips, and 1 brownie. The presentation of the sandwich was sloppy with 1 price of arugula and a few pieces of pickled red onions. No spinach or mustard on the side. No regular pickle which comes with a sandwich and the chips were also missing. The icing on the cake was when I saw a Post-it in the bag explaining the two cookie substitutes for not having the brownie I ordered.
The quality of the food was far from tasty. The soup was cold, half-filled and also very thick, even thicker after warming it in the microwave. As mentioned above the sandwich looks sloped together as if no care was taken to prepare it and after only one bite I tossed it in the trash. As for the 2 cookies, I didn't eat them because they were rock-hard.
I’m annoyed that someone took the time to write a note about a substitution but wouldn’t take the time to call. I'm beyond disgusted by the preparation of my food and the manner in which it was handled. Serving paying customer their food this way is NOT ACCEPTABLE! I've seen hospital trays that looked better! My 8-year-old niece would prepare a better sandwich than this! I wish whoever it was took the time as if they were preparing the food for themselves to eat. A simple ask and yet so difficult to execute.
I believe one apple does spoil the bunch, and the poor quality, service, and overall experience from this meal and others before it has taught me a lesson to stop eating at this location and all...
Read moreRudest cashier. Confusing price listing on menu board. When asked for clarification, lady exhibited body language and answered questions with minimal info after drawing a breath, ind8cating exasperation with my questioning. When I tried to order a "Pick Two" combo. The thing I wanted wasn't included. When I asked the price of the Pick TWO, she replied she didn't know till I ordered...it depended on what I ordered, and the computer would tell her. My husband ordered what he thought was a soup and salad Pick TWO, it rang up to be more that'll $20 for a Cobb salad with onion soup and a drink....I settled for half a chicken sandwich and water, for a total bill of $33. Fior lunch, counter service only. Lady didn't even ask what kind of bread I wanted, so I was disappointed Mt sandwich was on a slice of bread rather than the baquette as all the samlndwiches were pictured. My son ordered two chicken and broccoli bowls, and one had half the amount of chicken than the other. When he took it back to the kitchen to remedy, the kitchen staff told him that it couldn't be half the amount. That the chicken was prefab and all was the same amount. Four of us at the table could clearly see that one bowl had approximately 2.5 oz. of chicken and the other was half of that. I was still hungry, and ordered a warm chocolate croissant...the rude lady put it on a plate and said I could take it over to the kitchen and they would warm it. I was incredulous that in this day and age that she would give a plate to me and then the kitchen staff across the restaurant would take if from my potentially germy hands and put it in their kitchen to warm it for me. How is that ok in this day and age? I don't get the allure of Panera Bread. I left there hungry, after spending a...
Read moreNo line, which was nice (maybe that was a sign of the bad experience awaiting me). We ordered, way too expensive for what you get, like I've come to expect. Water was broken. We were informed by the food prep girl that they ran out of bread bowls, would a reg. bowl be ok? No problem. The french onion soup, like you would expect to have a thick layer of melted cheese on top, didn't have any cheese at all. The "manager" seemed more interested in being liked by her employees than by running a business in a professional manner. There were gaggles of employees loitering around the cashier, having personal conversations when I had to ask for my water, and coffee cup which she forgot about. There was a young man who was allowed to wear his hat with the brim off to the side, cockeyed in a weird position on his head, with his id badge clipped to the brim. Employees were having LOUD conversations in the middle of the dining room as to where they wanted to eat their meals (inside or outside). The bus tubs at all trash cans I passed were full, and overflowing with dishes stacked around the trash can area. IDK why a mgr would allow dinner breaks when the place was filthy and a disaster scene. Additionally, employees who were having the loud conversation about where to eat, almost ran over my son b/c he was distracted and more concerned about himself than the safety and well being of those eating there. It was disgusting. If I owned Panera, I'd clean house, both literally and figuratively. That manager needs to go. The kids hat needs to be worn professionally. Broken/out of stock items might have been addressed had the manager given a darn. Pathetic, and along with the outrageously expensive prices, another reason to avoid Panera in the...
