My experiences involved in this review are from being a customer, employee and former employee.
The subs are great, they slice everything fresh like lettuce and tomatoes and such before doors open for business, most everything is prepped fresh, and the job is fairly smooth going.
On the flavor and stomach filling side of things, the subs are huge(at least they were when I was trained there and ate there) and taste WAYYY better than any other sub shop I've been to so, the price can just about be justified. My personal favorite is the GIANT Steak Kahuna. Totally worth it(seriously, go get it).
Working there (most people can skip this part since it doesn't matter to many) is not so bad either. I mean.. it's a sandwich shop... The franchise owner, Jeremy, needs a lot of work with social skills and needs to put time and leg work into ALL his stores, not just his busier stores. A lot of issues arrised in proper training and protocol because he literally spent 5 minutes a day at Winter Haven then left. Literally rushing the entire process as if he wanted nothing to do with his store. Anyone with a shred of intelligence knows putting leg work into your own business breeds success. I'm not talking 5 minutes or a weeks worth.. im talking dedication to all stores at all times until those stores are properly set up.
Not to quote the most ignorant statement made by him as an insult or jab, but using "I have 5 kids I barely get to see" to justify terrible business oversight is so laughable I believe the earth shifted it's orbit from my laughter... That's a personal problem. Stop having kids if it gets in the way of your business or adjust your priorities to reach a business goal. No one forced you to take on ownership of a business. Billions of people have family and kids, many don't live outside their means and many prioritize quite well with it.
Of all my years in restaurant management, corporate level work, startups and sell offs, I've seen a lot of new timers let their ego get the best of them and their business never takes off, eventually failing...
Training aptitude needs improvement. Period. It's a nice store and the atmosphere is great aside all that nonsense.
I recommend this store to anyone wanting an amazing food selection, and great customer service experience. Seriously, grab a sub from there, you will not regret it.

Read moreThis location is despicable. My mom, my two sons & I went into this location this afternoon to get lunch. We were the only ones in there. We had a nice young lady come and ask what we would like. She got our meat ready on our sandwiches. Then, while we were waiting for that, some man from behind the counter made us come pay for the food. We all wanted water, so he gave us three of the regular cups. One of my sons goes to the drink fountain and gets ice. Then, the staff makes us go back over to the condiment and toppings counter and tell them what we want…this is a different lady that wasn’t originally standing up at the counter. She was friendly. But, this is where the whole story flipped and irritation really filled me. This rando comes from the back with a different color darker shirt and stands at the end of the counter where you pay (I’m assuming she is the manager). I look over at my son getting water and tell him that he has to pull the water lever for the water. The woman grabs the cups from us and says, “These aren’t for the water…these cups are” in a very rude tone. She proceeds to take the cups that we have been touching and puts them back into the cup stack (so sorry to all of the people behind us that got our dirty cups) and hands us these tiny white cups. My son is still over at the drink fountain because his regular cup was already full of water. The “manager” or whoever she is, continues to stare at my son until he is completely done, like he is doing something so wrong… then turns to us and says, “Now, what did we get?” I said…”We already paid” and walk away. She looks on her computer and then turns to my mother and says, “Ma’am, I don’t think y’all paid yet.” Even though I already told her we did… and then my mom showed her the receipt. She would have tried to make us pay again if we did not have the receipt. Extremely accusatory of me telling her we paid and then saying we didn’t… while we were sitting in the restaurant, the manager and all of the employees are literally screaming and talking so loud, you couldn’t even enjoy your meal. I won’t return to this location because I don’t feel like getting accused of not paying for a scrawny, cheap little 2 dollar sandwich that cost an arm and a leg where I didn’t even enjoy it because the whole crew was screaming. I’d rather take my business to subway. At least I know I’m getting...
Read moreEverytime I walk into Jersey Mikes, something is wrong, looks gross, or a person is rude. All 3 things happened to me recently. Then I tried to give it another chance and it wasn't much better. The first night, a gentleman was helping my boyfriend and I with our sandwiches. Not sure if he was new but there were a pile of sandwiches to complete plus ours. I guess it was online orders. He sat there watching the other person do all the work and when he did work he was very slow. The other person even got on to him about working. He just made a side comment and continued working at snail pace. We waited over 10 minutes for a cold sandwich and no one in line but us. The lettuce looked horrible and so brown, tomatos looked mushy and discolored, and the counter had so much food on it from other sandwiches. The bacon was black and didn't look appetizing. The second time we went, the gentleman with the beard made our sandwiches. He was not very friendly and was short with us. The tomatoes still looked disgusting and the lettuce was still brown but not as much. I used the restroom and it definitely doesn't get checked regularly. The toilet paper was out too in both restrooms which I had to go tell the not-so-friendly employee that there was no toilet paper. This place needs better leadership. I tried to give it a second chance and still didn't satisfy. Ill take my money somewhere else to get a better sandwich. Unless you want food poisoning, I would...
