San Diego's Mexican Grill and Sport Bar — Restaurant in Winter Haven

Let's start with the service, It was no good. I speak Spanish and the server did as well I believe it wasn't her first language, but she did speak it. I asked about the margarita and she could not tell me any opinions or answer my questions about flavor or consistence beside she did not drink, that was ok. I can only eat beef so I asked her about the different cuts off beef that I had seen in the menu and quick ones were better, she replied saying " No, no I don't know I don't eat that I, no" Which upset me a little, but it was fine maybe she was vegan IDK. I decide on my plate and I ask her if the beef came with peppers and onions on top, she started at me like she did not catch what I said, I asked her again and she thought about it maybe trying to remember if the plate did have it, and replied YES. When the food came the steak did not hacharged any onions or peppers on top or anywhere, I told her that i thought that it came with onions and peppers and she told me yes inside the steak was as thin as 3 quarters stacked I cheek and they are no onions and peppers she said that it does not come with onions and peppers on top, but it was seasoned with salt and pepper. And asked me if wanted the onions and peppers she could bring me some on the side and I said yes, she replied to me that it was an upcharge. She was nice though. Just that I did not like...

So I read the reviews before going here as I was hungry and had a couple hours to kill. What I found was mixed and I decided to give them a chance. Overall my experience was good. The staff was friendly. The food was very good, although I would have preferred things a bit spicier. When I arrived I was seated in a timely manner. My waitress was friendly and did not rush me. I was brought chips and salsa, again not as spicy as I prefer but very tasty. It was Taco Tuesday so I ordered a couple tacos and an order of nachos. It was a generous order of nachos and I thoroughly enjoyed them. The tacos were very good too. My only issue was that my server was not as attentive as I would prefer. She walked by me several times and paid me no glance while my drink was empty. I did try to get her attention a couple times and then I waited to see how long it would take, She was very attentive of her tables with multiple customers at them and spent a bit of time talking to some of them. They were not very busy when I arrived but it did pick up after a bit and everyone seemed to be busy. And in fairness they are attached to a hotel so probably much of their business is one timers. I Love this place, I love there food especially there chips and salsa. But today unfortunately I had a bad experience. My coworker and I go there for lunch two to three times a week. But today we had a group of about 10 and one of my coworkers placed the order for me she got there before I got there so I asked her to place my order for me. She ordered the wrong chicken for my quesadilla . When waitress brought my food and I cut into the quesadilla I immediately notified the waitress and he told me that he couldn't take it back.I asked him to please put another order of quesadilla with the grilled chicken. He never told me I was going to be charged for both plates or that he couldn't refund the first plate. He took the plate back with him and brought me the new order . If he would've told me that I was going to be charge for it I could have boxed it up and gave to someone else. But when I was told I had to pay for it Which I didn't mind paying for because it wasn't his error if he would've told me in advanced. I asked him to bring me back the food so I can take with me he said it was already thrown away.
