ZERO STARS! I just ordered a large pizza, bread sticks, and chicken wings. They processed my order and then about 5 minutes later had called me back to tell me that they did not have any spicy wings in stock. They gave me an option to switch them out for the regular kind or BBQ kind. Unfortunately, no body in my household will eat either of those two kinds as we only like spicy wings.. The gentleman on the phone with me said that they would be getting their spicy wings in at 2PM. And that I could delay my order and have it delivered then. That also poses a problem because I am hungry now. I asked if we could possibly get the pizza and break sticks now and then just have them drop off the wings later after 2PM while they are on another close by delivery. (We live less than 1 mile away.) He said that was not possible because the order would get forgotten and there is no way to keep track of it. He then suggested that I be refunded for the wings now, and then I could call in later to get two orders of spicy wings in order for them to deliver it to me since there is an $18 minimum order policy. I said that I did not want to pay double for a mistake that was not caused from me. I counter offered with asking for a free item or an upgrade in size on my pizza. The man declined and sent me to his supervisor. NOAH (the supervisor) then came to the phone and we went over all of these options again. He showed a obvious lack of concern and empathy for my situation. I told him that good customer service is about making an upset customer happy again. I said "wouldn't it be worth it to upgrade my pizza from a large to an extra large that only costs $3 difference for your company to make me a happy customer again?" He said no since this was not their mistake, they cannot just go around giving free stuff away. This is absolutely ridiculous. I have been to almost all of the bellagios locations and this one is by far the worst! They did not accommodate me on anything at all. I would like to know who the owner is because this is a huge reflection on him or her. I mean- do they have prep talks to all their employees at their hire date and say, "first rule of thumb: when we have an angry or upset customer never give them anything for free. Do not try and satisfy the customer when we have done something wrong. & Never admit fault to anything." RIDICULOUS! Throw in a free 2 liter soda, or give me an upgraded pizza for the same price as a large, SOMETHING! Its not like I am asking for a whole lot. Take notes people: THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT! When they leave unhappy, you then get negative reviews online. I think its worth it to try and correct your mistake. That is the basis of good customer service.
1/25/19 *EDIT: The owner, Joel, gave me a call today and asked for me to clarify what had happened earlier today with my order and how his employees handled it. I went over the brief of the issue and he was very kind and empathetic about it. He listened to my complaint and then showed great customer service by asking me how he could make things right. Apparently, they ended up getting the shipment of spicy wings into their store earlier than they expected & that he wanted to do whatever he could to make it right with me. He then said that he would send an order of spicy wings to my home address at no cost to me. That is how this should have been handled earlier, but I am very happy that its...
Read moreI recently moved to Troutdale, Oregon, and was looking for a good gluten free pizza delivery in my area. I ordered a small one to try, and it was pretty good. 5 days later, i ordered a large gluten free, with the exact same sauce and toppings. I ordered extra sauce and feta cheese, onions, and mushrooms. It arrived with very little sauce and virtually no feta . just a minute sprinkle of feta that you could hardly see or taste. It also had 2 light hairs on the pizza about 4 inches long. It did not taste good, and i did not eat it. Im not one to complain, but i ended up calling the manager, Noah. He told me, that they "grate" the feta cheese, and that since it is "under the other toppings" , you can't see it. The truth is, there was only a pin drop of feta on that pizza. It was there on the first one, 5 days earlier. And it was clear, there was very little sauce as well. He asked me what i would like him to do. I first asked him, for a credit. He said he would credit me $23.00 on a $29.00 pizza. I said, instead, why don't you just send another one out. He said ok. i said, please include extra sauce and feta please. and he said, ok, it will be there in an hour. I received a call back from him a little later announcing that they were not going to send another pizza out, or, give me a credit! Because one of the women who works there, saw the pizza being made, and claims the pizza was "correctly made". I asked him: So, are you saying you don't believe me?"... "Why don't i take a photo of the uneaten pizza and text it to you? " With that, he said, that i can call corporate. What ever happened to "the customer is always right"???? I told him that unfortunately, he lost a customer who was going to order every week. I find it surprising that a chain restaurant would be willing to lose a customer over a $28.00- $29.00 pizza. I will never order from...
Read moreI have gotten too used to flat, dry, nearly cold pizza which I usually get from a build-your-own pizza place, as these are pretty prevalent today. I love these places because of the enormous flexibility that I get in adding whatever ingredients that I want in the moment. But I had almost totally forgotten the quickening sensation that comes from eating a pizza that is bursting with flavor, with scrumptious dough and cheese which melt in the mouth, and a pizza that is actually still HOT even after I have carried it away from the store and walked or driven to my lunch spot. Thanks to a lunch snafu today, I got my chance to be reminded that there is such a thing as this kind of pizza, and that it only takes a slice or two for me to find TOTAL satisfaction. Enter Bellagio's into my life. For years, I've seen this name all around town, but never had any idea if their brazen claim to be "The Very Best" was even worth checking out. Thanks to the snafu today, I had my first ever chance to enjoy this incredible pizza. It was so jaw-dropping for me that I would go so far as to call this a pizza experience. On top of just flat out great pizza, the store manager was exceptionally friendly, and it was fun to listen to operatic music in his Wood Village store since, as he told me, he only plays that when it's slow. We enjoyed sharing our growing-up-with-opera-music stories, and I walked away with one incredible and extremely affordable lunch. I'll be back. In fact, I really will be back. When I'm in this part of town, I have often been befuddled as to where to eat lunch, since I want something that is satisfying, but I can't let lunch become my whole afternoon (and also not take a sizable bite out of the wallet in the process) since I'm out here to work. This Bellagio's Pizza is a very welcome solution for me....
