Nunzio's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Woodbridge Township

Ordered large assortment of food with a group; had the opportunity to try a little of everything. This location uses Halal ingredients, which made it very convenient for some members in the group. Unfortunately, nothing really stood out as being close to desirable. In most cases, the food was barely edible or poorly made. However, the real failure is in the overall satisfaction in the end, as chance are you will feel ripped off. Here is a rundown of what to expect:

• quality of ingredients: average - rating of C -cheap material -bad blend in sauces

• service: poor - rating of C- -older bald gentleman grunted -said gentleman would not give utensils -said gentleman would not help bring food to table -said gentleman would not even crack a smile

• presentation: poor - rating of D+ -restaurant looked poorly maintained -Japanese curtains used to cover back area -food looked unappetizing -food was mostly cold

• proportions: average - rating of C -you get what you expect for serving sizes -Disproportionately crafted ingredients

• pricing: above average - $$ -prices are a little bit more than food is worth

Overall, food didn't feel like it was cooked properly, in a good manner and it doesn't sit well with the atmosphere or ambience of the location. It's a shame considering you don't be have that many locations that offer Halal, but if they did, they would be a whole lot better than this place. This location gets a solid "C-" for something that should not be recommended.

Where to start with this place. The girl that took my order on the phone had no phone manners. Talking to her and placing an order was like pulling teeth. Don't know how they let someone like that handle the phones. Went to pick up my pizza. It clearly states a large is $11. They charged me $12. Didn't really notice this until i got home. So CHECK YOUR CARD before you leave. Got home. Pizza was sloppy and undercooked. It was about 80% cheese, and 20% crust and sauce. When i tried to cut a piece, it would just all fall apart. I actually had to put it back into my oven at home and cook it the rest of the way myself. Overall, just a very poor experience. I feel like the pizza used to be okay there, but it this experience was just awful. You should try one of the many other pizza places in the area.

Also, when looking at the reviews below, it becomes apparent that the good reviews are written by the pizza place themselves...not actually people. They shouldn't be so obvious when...

So I started going to Nunzio's shortly after they opened in 1953. My parents would take us there on Sunday nights. I would burn the roof of my mouth and did not learn to stop that for many years lol. Moved away from the area 55 years ago but when I have a chance to go back, I do! When the pizza arrived, true thin crust, we just smelled the pizza for almost 10 minutes. AHHHHH! See picture below and just imagine!! The picture says it all, but the smell and then the taste, well it's as good as you get. Snookie, there for 60 YEARS as a waitress, took great care of us. Lou in the kitchen actually went to school with my late brother and that made it even more special.Thanks for a great memory and a great meal!! Promise to come more often than...
