Make this Place Your Home “Iced Northern Lite Caramel High Rise,” the barista says, placing the cup gently on the countertop. All around me, coffee lovers linger in gorgeous matte chocolate brown leather chairs that perfectly harmonize with the cozy light-blue color of the walls. Placed on wooden tables of warm mahogany, their sweets and beverages exude a scent of vanilla, caramel, and freshly grinded beans. It is late in the afternoon, and I gaze out on the pond where a Canadian goose family rests peacefully in the warm light of the bright yellow sun, while a few fluffy wisps of white cloud gently float by in the open sky. “Just know you're not alone, cause I'm going to make this place your home,” chants Philip Philips on the radio and makes me feel homely as I take a sip of my coffee drink, packed with a mind-blowing amount of flavor. Right next to where the summer drinkware rocks the shelf together with some other fun coffee lifestyle items, I notice an apple cinnamon roll smiling down at me, so I go over to the bakery to say “hi.” Only after I buy it do I realize that the food at this place tastes like heaven on a plate, which is why I say “hi” two more times. A garlic Parmesan ciabatta roll so deeply in love with thinly shaved prosciutto, egg and mozzarella cheese that you’ll find it hard to resist. With every spoon of whole grain oats, topped with blueberries and honey-roasted almonds, I rise higher than the Northern lights in my High Rise. While the barista welcomes other guests to cloud nine, I download the Caribou app on my phone and sign up for the perks program to earn surprise rewards. “Dream big,” it says on the app – so I let myself be carried away to a warm and cozy northern cabin with a picture-perfect mountain view. No matter how stressful your day has been, once you step into this shop and let the peaceful, harmonious and joyous atmosphere work its magic on you, you will ultimately begin to wind down and relax. – Caribou Coffee. Read moreToday I wanted to grab a coffee from this location. And instead of the drive thru over at City Centre Dr., I did a walk-in instead. Usually, the barista will ask if your a perks member, she didn't ask and asked what I would like to order. After I told her then she asked if I was a perks member where I proceeded to tell her my number. After Im standing there waiting for my coffee to be made, another customer comes in to order. There's 2 girls working and socializing so much that they didnt tend to her right away, much less greet her into the establishment. When she was done ordering, she waited also. As we're both waiting I couldn't help but realize how boisterous these girls were being. Honestly though it's fun to have fun at work, but when you have paying customers waiting, maybe being focused and getting the tasks done at hand would be more attractive. A couple minutes passed by and then she must of noticed my drink was ready and asked if that was mine. I said "Oh it must be. Maybe. I dont know." But it was. I thanked her though... as if she was the barista that made my drink. The whole concept here is: Why did I need to thank another customer for letting me know my coffee was ready? The girls working were to busy socializing to let their customer know their drink was ready. Whoever those girls are though that were working today Dec. 15, 2022 Between 9am-10am need a little bit more reminding on customer service. Customer service doesn't end at order-taking. It's completed until customer walks out of your establishment. And hopefully you made a positive impression for that customer to keep coming back and paying for...
Read moreI like the convenience of the drive thru, but I’ve been here a few times lately and they closed earlier than the posted hours and did not put a sign at the drive thru to let people know. I was one of several cars in line before people started to figure out they were closed. Even when they are open, they frequently mess up my order (milk chocolate vs. dark chocolate hot chocolate). Also, one time I ordered a dark chocolate kids coffeeless cooler and they tried to give me a vanilla. I said that I ordered chocolate and that one didn’t look like chocolate. The girl argued with me and said that all of the chocolate coolers look white. I said that I’ve ordered chocolate coolers a hundred times and they always look darker. She refused to remake it. With several other Caribous in the area, this location needs to step up their service before they lose all of...
