I want to start off by saying I NEVER leave reviews as I was a server for over 10 years and worked at this chilis in 2009-2011. Anyways if I could give -10 stars I would, Immediately the server Natalie (Woodbury, MN ) asked what we wanted to drink and before we could tell her what appetizers we wanted she turned and literally ran to the kitchen. We asked to order appetizers when she came back. My husband order beers and while Natalie did bring out sodas to our table Natalie walked past our table a dozen times and NEVER looked at the table or went to the bar to get his beers. Finally after 15 minutes we asked another server about my husband’s beers. Natalie never checked on us between dropping off our chips and the meal in which another server brought. My 11 year sat there with an empty cup while again Natalie had walked past us a dozen times. Every time she came from the kitchen she always looked pissed off and that people were bothering her. She appeared to rush and hurry and absolutely did not care about her tables. My kids food came out thank god and the sever told us that someone else will be bringing out my husbands and my fajitas which came out 10 minutes after my kids food and was cold. Natalie placed the fajitas on the table and said “ besides a whole bunch of refills is there anything else” (literally only 3 refills needed) When my husband brought up about the cold fajitas and wanting warm ones appetizers stated “I don't know why you are yelling at me, it’s the cooks fault” No honey, it’s your fault! I guaranteed it sat in the window dying! You are QA when bring out food. All you had to do was your job. Greet your guests within 2 minutes, ask what they would like for drinks and maybe try to upgrade the drink order, asked about appetizers. When food is brought to the table ask about refills and make sure that guests are happy. You are suppose to ask how the food is after 2 bites or two minutes after the meal comes out. Ask if there is anything else you can bring. Keep checking on your table and try to upgrade by offering desserts, higher quality alcohol drinks etc. to make the Check bigger which increases your tips. Freaking smile and act like you like your job, your in customer service honey! Don’t make your customers feel like we are forcing you to work! Does this always happen no but she sure missed out on a 25% tip from me in which I always tip that. Natalie was by far the laziest, nastiest server we have EVER encountered. My family eats out 5-6 times a week so that tells you right there. Shame on us for expecting a server to...
Read moreBeing in the restaurant industry, I find myself to be pretty open to circumstances however this dining experience that I just encountered was awful. The food was wonderful however our server was inexcusable. When greeted she didn't even say hello, instead she just simply said drinks? We ordered and got them. She asked if we were ready yet and I said told her not quite. She walked about 5 feet away and stared at me continuously checking her watch. We put the menus down and closed them and she came over. We ordered and she put it in. She came back a couple minutes later to grab an empty mug and got up on her tip toes and peered over my shoulder to see what was on my phone and then asked me about it. To say it was a little uncomfortable would be an understatement. Our food came out and just after a couple bites she came over and asked if we would like dessert at all. We declined and she pulled up our bill and said whenever would be great. Since my friend and I still had a majority of our food left, I continued to eat but could not ignore the fact that our server was standing 5 feet away again staring at me and checking her watch and tapping her foot. It was obvious that she wanted to leave so I took out my card and swiped it. She came over and and looked at the screen to see what I was going to tip. I slowly started moving the cursor to what I wanted to leave based on my rushed and rude experiance. I was growing quite fed up but since I was a server and am now a bartender I decided to brush it off. She walked back to where she stood (5 feet) and continued to watch. My friend was done with one of her plates and pushed it away but was wanting a box. The server came up and grabbed her empty glass and never once asked either of us if we would like a box but instead said you know how it is having that one table that just won't leave when you're done with your shift and you just want to go home......excuse my inner Michelle Tanner but HOW RUDE. We left feeling irritated and like we were an...
Read moreOn December 4th, my husband and I were dining in the bar at the Woodbury, MN location. We had great service from Emily as the bartender and great food. We are frequent visitors there, at least once a month. The bill came and I gave my credit card to be run. Within a few minutes, the bill book came back with the receipt to be signed...but no credit card. I called Emily back over and let her know that I did not receive card back. She immediately started looking. At time, bar was not too busy. As other employees came over, including Manager-on-Duty, Ryan, she let them all know what happened and what she was looking for. Ryan helped look a little here and there. I would say we sat there for a good 15-20 minutes as they looked, with no luck. Finally, Ryan came over and took down my name and number and said he would call if they found it later. We left and headed home. About an hour later, I get a call from Ryan stating that they had finally found my credit card. I said we would try and make it all the way back in within the hour. Upon arrival, I asked for Ryan at the front. He simply came up, handed me my card and said "I apologize for this." That was it. I am not a demanding person, but as one that is very aware of how good customer service SHOULD go, I was very disappointed that there was nothing further offered to apologize for their misplacement of my card and for the time this all took out of our night. Simply disappointing and truly makes me not want to visit there...
