I'm so disappointed in the manger at this location. I would NOT recommend having a party here. I had my daughters birthday party here I called 2 weeks in advance and asked if I could reserve both party rooms. The manager said that was not a problem I told him it would be around 40 to 50 people he said all I needed to do was place the food order 2 days in advance... well when I arrived today he informed me I could only use one room because I never called him personally back to confirm mind you I went there in person a few days before to pre order and look at the rooms. I explained all that to him and he was so rude and said well you never called and that employee never checked the books he went back and forth with me. The manager said he has another party booked (called this morning) in the other room and if I wanted both rooms it would be 600-700 dollars i said your website states I have to spend $7 per person he informed me that was wrong it's $10 and if I take both rooms he could be losing a lot of money. After I was done decorating the one room then he said I could have both he said that the party called and was going to be later. Lastly was the drinks I kept track of how many kids drinks we ordered and adults he said we charged you all for large drinks I said it's mostly kids in there he said we'll you can get refills I replied kids pops don't have refills?? Read moreWe’ve lived in Woodbury for about 20 years, and Davanni’s has always been a staple. At LEAST once a month. We love it all, the Pizza, Hoagies, you name it. And, anytime you ordered it was accurate, fast and great. No complaints. But I will agree with what a couple others have said, recently we’ve had issues with people taking our orders, getting orders correct and timeliness. Sad part is, I don’t think it is the fault of management or the ownership, it just comes down to the fact that our youth are a bunch of lazy, incompetent kids who don’t understand customer service. Although the manager we spoke with last Sunday (10/11), wasn’t much better than the employee we spent about 10 min just trying to place an order with. I asked for a manager when she kept reading our order back to us with multiple mistakes (wasn’t a huge order either), and when he got on he acted like he was frustrated with ME, and not his employee. Didn’t apologize or even thank us for our order and business.
We will still order from here moving forward, as we love their food and their prices. Too bad a place that was ALWAYS consistent seems to be no longer. All good things come to an end I guess. But I had to type in my preferences for the turkey sandwich that I ordered because my 10 yrs old is very, very picky (no lettuce, tomato, mayo, and house sauce but add mozzarella cheese and bacon). And many of my co-workers and friends tell me all the time that the restaurants we order from through DoorDash; that doesn't have the option to choose options to change recommendations, would never follow through with request from customers. So when I called to ask a Davanni's staff name, Heather, she stated to me that I should of had the option to choose what I wanted because it's extra for bacon therefore they would not add bacon. Because I did not pay for bacon Heather stated that almost always customers would never gotten what they request for that is extra money.
