So I have sadly had to change this review from a 5 star to a 2 star. My wife and I have been to this particular establishment several times now, both in store and drive through. Sadly the experience has been getting worse and worse. And I have to say that this has turned into one of the WORST Wendy's I have been to.
In-store visits have had a drastic decline in the customer service department. We have had several occasions where we walk up to the counter ready to order and the cashier walks away, leaving us to wait for several more minutes while the literally just talk to their coworkers and several other occasions that the cashiers have been extremely rude to us.
Drive-thru has had an equally drastic decline for, I'm only guessing here, the same reason. We have pulled up to the order point, only to have someone tell us they will be with us momentarily. That's normal at many establishments, however, they seem to forget that they have their microphones on, allowing us to hear them simple talking to someone about topics completely unrelated to work. The new Avatar movie, where they are going after work, who they are going to meet up with after work. These are only a few of the topics we have been privileged to listen to. Our worst experience in drive-thru was about two weeks ago when I was force to leave the drive-thru and walk inside because I was tired of waiting for ten minutes to order. Yes, I sat at the order point for ten minutes after being told it very rudely (twice) that "they would be with me in a moment."
Finally it also seems as though they do not actually pay attention to the orders that have been placed. Many times we have received our orders with missing items or received an order that we did not place. When confronted about it they all but call me a liar until I show the receipt to them Last week when went in-store to eat. My wife and I both ordered the $5 chicken BLT biggie bada, one of which we asked for no salt on the French fries, and my mother-in-law ordered the fish sandwich combo. When I approached the counter to retrieve our order, I noticed a couple things wrong right off the bat. The first was our drinks. My wife had ordered a sprite and received Coca-Cola. I order Dr.Pepper with no ice and received Root beer on ice. My mother-in-law ordered unsweetened tea and received lemonade. When confronted about it they claimed "It was what I ordered" until I showed them the receipt proving otherwise. The second issue was our food itself. While the wrapper said "Fish Sandwich" my mother-in-law received a baconator. My wife and I had both ordered chicken and received beef and both of the fries were caked in salt and cold. So I took the order back up to the counter only to be greeted with a very snarky "what's the problem now?" comment. I showed them the order and the receipt again. After about another 10 minutes we finally received our correct order.
All in all it seems like the staff are there to chit-chat, treat customers very rudely, force them to wait long periods of time to order, and when they do put your order together, they decide...
Read moreLemme see here. Yeah, I like this place. The frosties are comforting on a hot day but summer is gone..here. but did you know there is a Wendy's in Manila? I've been there and want to relate my experience there even though it was long time ago. Like every other chain, no matter where you go a big Mac is a big Mac. Wendy's frosties are the same world wide. So is the basic menu except for a few local specialties. Like in the Philippines . Most places also offer fried chicken, spaghetti. Hot dogs. Anyway my girlfriend and I had stopped in for a lunch salad and frosty. We get that and sit down. Suddenly there is this street person comes into the dining area and is literally drooling over what people are eating. A bit shocking but you have to realize that in a lot of places there is poverty you can not fathom. Along with that is hunger and people really will do just about anything when hunger goes beyond just being late for lunch. So we couldn't really finish ours. . Quite an experience. Please understand this is not to do with Wendy's..but ..Wendy's is fine when hunger calls but I don't think anyone here, including myself, truly understands what's it's like when hunger gnaws. When it's ever present. Day in and day out. How many of us truly understands and appreciates the abundance that this country produces. I know this experience at Wendy's changed my perspective and thanks for that. BDW. Did you know that the good old USA contributes hugely to the surplus food available on a world wide scale.? I have more to say on this subject but will save it for later. Meanwhile go enjoy a Wendy's biggie basket . Its what, $5. I had one and couldn't finish it. Peace...
Read moreNOT kid friendly. My husband and I brought our three elementary aged children to eat an early dinner. We ate in the dining room. While we were ordering, the cashier walked away to do something else. Strange. They were out of ketchup in the dispensers so we let them know. They didn’t refill them and didn’t give us any ketchup packets. They forgot two of our beverages and I had to ask for them. The part that prompted this review, however came after all that. While eating, the employees were very loudly talking and laughing, so loud that the whole dinning room could hear every word. My children started to listen. The young woman at the window cashier was dropping repeated F bombs while she was talking and laughing to the young man at the front counter. I decided to leave early, ushered my family out and went and told them that they were being extremely loud and my children could hear their swearing. The young man at the front counter sorta apologized but before I even left the restaurant, the woman asked him what I said and the man said “something about her children, I don’t even care.” My husband and I were incredibly disappointed. My children told me they heard the exact words they were saying. We have frequently enjoyed this restaurant as a family on many Fridays for years and have forgiven the occasional order mistakes. Unfortunately we won’t be able to come and enjoy dinner with our kids there anymore. I tried to call to speak to the manager and the phone was off the hook. “Busy” Which forced me to report it...
