While the sandwiches are good, we do not go here anymore. As locals we are disappointed with the level of customer service, just basic politeness, that lacks in the employees. We choose to take our business to other places in Woodland Park. **We tried this place more than a few times and the service has not improved over time. ** May 2023: Well my faith has been restored in this place. Score went from 2 to 4 stars thanks to Hayden! Came in here to buy a spot at the WP Annual Yard Sale. While the girl at the register was not friendly in any way and kind of treated the process like an assembly line and also could not answer any questions....Hayden saved the day. He was so nice, so polite, and very professional! I was super impressed! And because of him- this locality's score doubled! Update August 2023: So this place has fully redeemed itself from my original experiences from 2020 to now. I will tell you that I refused to go here for years- which put my husband in a bind because he likes this place. I always felt the customer service was terrible, just awful....but it seems like there has been a complete shift in the customer care, the employees, and the quality of food. I have to say....I am super impressed and this place has officially received 5 stars for that progress! I came in here to sign up for the WP annual garage sale in September. Sabrina and Joey were WONDERFUL! Both of them were so outgoing, friendly, and helpful! So much so, that I actually ended up ordering the Brisket Breakfast Bowl to go. Oh my goodness.....SOOOOO yummy! And they made it how I needed with my allergies! I was super super impressed! Will definitely come back again.

Ordered the Joanie's Breakfast Plate, I asked if they had fresh Jalapenos? Answer was unacceptable, said that their Jalapenos were only for the "Prep Station". What kind of Restaurant doesn't offer a condiment if they have it on hand? The Seasoned Potatoes were way too Salty. I mentioned this to two employees separately and neither offered to remake the meal for me. I've been coming here at least once annually for the past several years, I doubt that I will be back in the future. My response to Chef Rebecca: I asked if Y'all had "Fresh Jalapenos" (Not Pickled = Pickled is Not Fresh Jalapenos). As far as me speaking to the two employee's individually... Neither offered me any resolution whatsoever... I would have graciously accepted for the Entire Meal to be remade (I had already mixed the Sunnyside Up eggs into the Over-Salted Potatoes). It's not too late to Comp me a replacement meal, I'm still in town another week. This morning (January 15 2023) I went in person to Joanie's Deli and Bakery in hopes of speaking with Chef Rebecca (she wasn't there), I did speak with the gentleman employee that previously hadn't offered me any resolution. I requested a Complimentary Meal and he went away to speak with another employee (women), he returned to tell me No. I won't be returning!

Service was friendly and fast. We ordered at the counter (after finding a menu on a table) and thought we were just ordering a Full Order of B&G, but we were offered a platter. More than what we wanted but sure, we'll try it! We came for the mimosas! The cottage cheese is low fat (for those who mind). Eggs were cooked to perfection. The medium roast coffee was either over watered down or just a poor blend choice but neither of the dark or medium roasts were that hot. I could gulp it as soon as I got to my seat. The mimosa was very good! The biscuits and gravy were rather good, as well! The gravy is thick and chunky with sausage and onions and beautiful garnish. You can absolutely tell the gravy is made from scratch, I must say Well Done! It's hard to make that kind of gravy with that much flavor. It was our first time so maybe we didn't know the ins and outs but I didn't see salt any where? But they cook their eggs with cracked pepper I think because the bottom of the eggs had big pepper flakes in the bottom and I found that to be a nice/interesting touch. The outdoor patio (on the side) is perfect! You get to be outside with amazing views but no wind and a very well working overhead heater. We'll be back!

So we have heard of Jonnies and decided to give it a try while visiting WoodlandPark today. It is a stop we wish we had never taken by the time we where ready to leave. When we arrived they where super busy. This looked promising. We waited in line and finally got to order. Once ordered we got our drinks and went to find a table. We ended up outside and found a table that still had dirty dishes on it. We had no choice the few tables available where all dirty. So we stacked them and set them aside, cleaning off the area we would use. We sat for approximately 45 minutes while waiting for our food. During this time several waiters passed through and never once asked to remove the dishes. We sat calmly waiting. When our food finally arrived it was only 2 of the 3 meals we ordered. Another 15 minutes and our last plate arrived. Keep in mind these are sandwiches, Dirty dishes still on the table had not been removed. The third item was in complete as they had ran out of the side item. Was offered a diffrent side, all of which where foods that we dont eat. We ordered a fresh salad side and was offered potatoe salad, chips or macaroni salad. Again dishes where left behind. Just sucked it up and decided sense my family was almost done eating I would just eat my sandwich. Folded the top over and went to take a bite, what was sitting right there in my cheese but a long black hair!!! My family has red and Grey hair. Wasn't ours. At this point I am just done. I take the food back inside, they tell me we will remake this but it will be awhile wait. Wait a minute I have already waited a hour at a table with dirty dishes. I told them no I didnt have time to wait again. Was asked what I expected all he could do is hand me a gift card he had initiated. I took this out to my husband and told him what I was told. He noticed the initials had wiped away. I went back in to talk with the host again. To be told again what do you expect me to do. I said I expect it to be made right. He left and brought the owner, who once again went through the issue again. He finally opened the register and gave me a $20 back from our $60 meal. Fair enough. I left hungry, frustrated and at this point done. Oh yay the dirty dishes where still on the table when we walked away. I would not waist your time or your money on this establishment if I was you. You may be sitting...

I should have believed the bad reviews before I walked my 9 months pregnant self all the way here. Why can we not toast the meat on a club? Especially when there are hot sandwich options? Brunette girl with the upper arm tattoos taking the order couldn’t tell me, only said that it’s not the way they do it. Why should I pay $16 for an overpriced sandwich that I can’t even eat because the meat hasn’t been heated up. I won’t be coming back. The service was trash, none of the employees were friendly, none of them were accommodating. Seriously need some customer service training in here. At the very least give me a valid reason why we can’t toast a sandwich, offer some other options that are similar, or at least act like you care. The lack of care and consideration for customer service shown by the the girl that was going to take our order tells me everything I need to know.

Edit to respond to owner: Sorry for any confusion but I’m not sure why this is confusing- I asked to have the meat on the club sandwich heated up, and I was told that I wasn’t allowed to do that. When I asked why she got kind of rude and wouldn’t give me a reason other than “that’s not the way we do things here.” I responded, “oh are they premade sandwiches? Like why can’t we heat up the meat on a club sandwich, but we can heat up meat on other sandwiches?” And she responded “yea that’s just not how we do things here, you can order a hot sandwich though.” As a person who’s never worked anything but front of house food service jobs I was very annoyed with the service and lack of accommodation. There was no one training this person, she didn’t seem to be training to me, and the girl that was doing the drink station was also standing right there listening to the whole interaction. The cashier probably should have gone and asked someone more senior if she didn’t know the answer to my question, that’s what I have always done in that situation. There didn’t seem to be anyone in charge or a manager around for that matter. The girl cashiering should have excused herself and asked someone what accommodations could be made, instead of brushing me off with other staff members watching and aware of...
