There was a time in his life when her rudeness would have set him over the edge. He would have raised his voice and demanded to speak to the manager. That was no longer the case. He barely reacted at all, letting the rudeness melt away without saying a word back to her. He had been around long enough to know where rudeness came from and how unhappy the person must be to act in that way. All he could do was feel pity and be happy that he didn't feel the way she did to lash out like that. Her mom had warned her. She had been warned time and again, but she had refused to believe her. She had done everything right and she knew she would be rewarded for doing so with the promotion. So when the promotion was given to her main rival, it not only stung, it threw her belief system into disarray. It was her first big lesson in life, but not the last. There was something beautiful in his hate. It wasn't the hate itself as it was a disgusting display of racism and intolerance. It was what propelled the hate and the fact that although he had this hate, he didn't understand where it came from. It was at that moment that she realized that there was hope in changing him. The irony of the situation hadn't escaped her. She had taken years to sculpt the perfect persona with the perfect look that she shared on Instagram. She knew her hundreds of thousands of followers envied that life she showed and stayed engaged with her because they wanted that life too. The truth was that she wanted the perfect life she portrayed more than any of her fans. The fact was that despite all the perfection she shared on social media, her life was actually more of a mess than most. The time had come for Nancy to say goodbye. She had been dreading this moment for a good six months, and it had finally arrived despite her best efforts to forestall it. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't keep the inevitable from happening. So the time had come for a normal person to say goodbye and move on. It was at this moment that Nancy decided not to be a normal person. After all the time and effort she had expended, she couldn't bring herself to do it. Samantha wanted to be famous. The problem was that she had never considered all the downsides to actually being famous. Had she taken the time to objectively consider these downsides, she would have never agreed to publically sing that first song. The bridge spanning a 100-foot gully stood in front of him as the last obstacle blocking him from reaching his destination. While people may have called it a "bridge", the reality was it was nothing more than splintered wooden planks held together by rotting ropes. It was questionable whether it would hold the weight of a child, let alone the weight of a grown man. The problem was there was no other way across the gully, and this played into his calculations of whether or not it was worth the risk of trying to cross it. Finding the red rose in the mailbox was a pleasant surprise for Sarah. She didn't have a boyfriend or know of anyone who was interested in her as anything more than a friend. There wasn't even a note attached to it. Although it was a complete mystery, it still made her heart jump and race a little more than usual. She wished that she could simply accept the gesture and be content knowing someone had given it to her, but that wasn't the way Sarah did things. Now it was time to do a little detective work and try to figure who had actually left the red rose. What have you noticed today? I noticed that if you outline the eyes, nose, and mouth on your face with your finger, you make an "I" which makes perfect sense, but is something I never noticed before. What have you noticed today? It was difficult for him to admit he was wrong. He had been so certain that he was correct and the deeply held belief could never be shaken. Yet the proof that he had been incorrect stood right before his eyes. "See daddy, I told you that they are real!" his daughter...
Read moreI was pleasantly surprised. Was expecting it to be another Del Taco but the food was pretty good. I bought the ground beef tacos dusted in parmesan (although I heard several order without it) I like the way they cook their shells. Similar to my homemade tacos.
If I lived in the area I would order them, add tomatoes, maybe sour cream (if I'm feeling like a foodie) then douse with my favorite Crystal Louisiana Hot Sauce. The dish that pushed it to a 4 was the ground beef enchiladas WITH a side of sour cream. I didnt critique the sauce as much but it was pretty good. Gave my local fav Mexican spot a run for their $$. If they were local to me, I would be an enchilada ordering son of a...shut yo mouth. They even balance the meal out with a nice salad. I stuck my fork in mine so if the picture looks off its because I dug in and snapped pics after I started.
Anyway I vouch for the enchiladas and will try again when I pass through the area. Restaurant was clean, the ladies worked hard and cooked like home, and they were serious but friendly. I'll share pics but it looks like we all shared the same scenery. Lol so I guess you can take it as consistent feedback. Nice job,...
Read moreThe restaurant was busy around noon, we ordered one cheese quesadilla, one stuffed quesadilla with chicken, two ground beef tacos, a wild pacific cod fish of taco and a classic burrito. The pace charges 2.9% if youâre using a credit card. The food took a good 20 minutes. The fish taco had a thin piece of fish with batter, fresh cabbage and tomato, the shel was crispy with a nice dusting of Parmesan on the outside. The rest Of the food was ok if you are hungry, the disappointment was when it came to the classic burrito, it was hot to the touch and I let it cool down a bit, when I grabbed it I noticed that it had an oily feeling, I padded the burrito outside to dry it out before eating it, the napkins kept absorbing the oil, I opened the burrito in order to dry it out but to my disappointment the oil came flowing down. I have the feeling that the meat was flashed fried on the fryer and it was not possible to eat. The only thing I have to mention is that the cashier was...
