El Costeño Tex Mex — Restaurant in Woodlawn

El Costeño Tex Mex is probably one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been to so far. The food was amazing. The service was awesome. The atmosphere was incredible. The overall rating of this restaurant is a solid 100 out of 100. Not a five out of five, not a 10 out of 10, but a 100 out of 100. The food is indescribable with words. It was delicious, awesome, amazing, spectacular, great, and incredible. You’ve gotta come to this place. It’s thriving with good reviews and positive star ratings from customers. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that there is a gas station connected to this restaurant. It’s called US fuel. Very great gas station. I don't know what I was feeling for all I know is that I wanted it to be good. And baybeeeee good it was. I ordered the birria tacos and some churros.

Now I'm a native NY'er and let me tell you we know good food. And good ethnic food at that.

This was one of theeeee best churros and birria tacos I have ever had. Everything was hot and fresh and seasoned and just delish.

The people are super sweet and helpful. Big ups to the chef because this food was just what I needed. The only thing was that it's inside of a gas station which was a bit sus.

The food was so delicious, I had the chilaquiles de carne & Im a bit picky with my chilaquiles but I was so satisfied with these! The salsa on the chilaquiles was great & not too spicy, which as a spice lover, wasn’t a letdown, because it was delicious as is. We also ordered the tacos & the meat was plentiful & tender! I like that they added pickled onions, jalepenos, & cebollines, these are very typical sides/acompañantes on tacos from MX but not every place offers them so I was delighted to see that here.
