Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Woodlawn

I used to HATE Papa John’s. I was Pizza Hut for life. Now it is all Papa John’s all day for me. Whenever I want pizza that is. I always get the stuffed crust with steak and green peppers. So much better than Pizza Hut stuffed crust. My girlfriend gets her own style Hawaiian pizza with chicken, she loves it so much. Apparently it’s all in the way the pineapple is prepared, and they do it with perfection. Today they showed me that it’s not only the pizza that’s perfect. It is the people too.

I have never been in before, I had the pizza brought to me every other time. Today was an interesting day to choose to go in. They actually had a system failure. Despite being super stressed out as all online orders came in at once, everyone was so polite to me and welcoming. There was only two people in at the time, and they gave me attention and answered all my questions. While I was waiting, a delivery driver came in, and she helped me purchase an orange soda for my girlfriend. One of the chefs there actually brought my pizzas out for me and put them in my car! I am on crutches, so I just pray for the kindness of strangers when I’m purchasing food stuff. Either that, or I get hot pizza on my chest. Well then, I’m praying it all makes it to the car, lol. Some places won’t even open the door for me when I’m carrying things. Another delivery was being made as I was getting in the car, and the driver/Chef said goodbye to me before getting in her car. This made me feel so awesome, the entire experience was a breeze. I hadn’t even eaten food yet! The pizza was amazing, believe me when I tell you that their sauce and crust has gotten so much better over the years. I wish that there were french fries, and a dessert that was chocolate chip and white chocolate mixed together, along with some ice cream. That would be my ultimate pizza joint. My fiancé ordered some lunch for me since I work from home today. We live in a three level townhome, and unfortunately our ring doorbell at times does not work. Fast forward, the driver comes and hits the bell and stated he knocked but I never heard it. 3 minutes go by after he left and my fiancé calls to say the guy is outside and said he rang the bell. I rush to answer the door, and this older gentleman with slick back hair proceeded to roll down his passenger window and yell at me through the car. He then gets out, after I apologized and explained I couldn’t hear the door, and tells me it don’t matter and that he called, rang the bell and knocked and now I'm holding him up as he has other deliveries! I said once again, I didn’t hear the bell and you were ONLY turned around for 3 minutes! I said several times sir it’s not that serious and I’m not arguing with a grown man, to which he replies lady please. As he hands me the pizza I said sir try and have a better day, he replies oh I’m having a great day to which I said it again and he proceeded to say yeah whatever don’t even go there with me! I slammed my door as he continued talking on my ring doorbell for another 2 minutes standing outside his car! So your other orders were sooooo important, yet you can stand outside my house berating me for additional time?! Ladies please be careful with these delivery drivers, he acted as if he wanted to fight me, to which my 21 year old son would have came down and showed him who he can really argue with! I spoke with the manager, who rushed me through my conversation and said he’s on the way back, I’ll speak with him. I accidentally called the Ellicott City location and the GM there was understanding and sympathetic! She gave me the correct number and I get the GM who clearly didn’t give a damn! We order pizza and we been waiting for almost two hours and hey finally showed up and the pizza was cold! I told them to sent it back and I called the store they told me that they will sent another pizza on the way. As we been waiting for another hour and yet no show. I called back and they told me that I told them I want to canceled which I never say I want to canceled as they lied! I was speaking to the manager at that time and they were being very rude!! And said I’m sorry you did say cancel which I kept telling her that I never did and she have to act like little kid with “yes you did” over n over after I kept telling her we didn’t. So they told me they already sent my money back which I haven’t received any money back. (Again they lies) and said will sent you pizza but as in attitude tones “your gonna have to wait for an hour and half” I told her, I am not ordering pizza from them and they need to change their attitude and be adult!
