Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream - Woods Cross — Restaurant in Woods Cross

I am conflicted on what rating to give, so I will start with the ice cream flavors. The ice cream is tasty and flavorful. There are a bunch of flavors to select from.

However, I have been here two times, and they are always out of something. Last time, they didn't have a sprinkle waffle bowl. This time, I wanted a normal blonde brownie hot fudge sundae. I was disappointed when they were out of blonde brownies. What shocked me was they were also out of vanilla ice cream AND whipped cream!

I couldn't believe it. An ice cream shop being out of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream is like a burger shop being out of burgers. It's outrageous! The situation sounds like a bit from a comedy. Alas, it is the reality of this place: they are consistently out of something every time I visit.

Because the staff was friendly and helpful, I suspect that the problem begins with management. The owners need to speak with the managers (or whoever keeps the products in stock), so they can perform inventory checks and ensure that they keep the bare basics available for customers (like vanilla ice cream and whipped cream).

If this place goes under, it will be because of their inability to keep items they offer in stock. Sadly, I will not return. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." They will not get a chance to fool me thrice, not even for...

Don’t come here unless you have low standards… First, let me tell you I probably own stock in the Handels back home in Arizona 😊, our family (extended, with my oldest son and his wife and kids) get Handels very frequently..so just to let you know, it’s not my first time here…I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Handels back home !!!! The portions are ridiculous compared to price here at this location, I ordered a 4 scoop sampler and a single scoop. One of the scoops was a 1/3 of the size as the other 3 in the sampler !!! I asked the young man if he was low on the Sticky Fingers and he caught my hint and stated “oh I can give you a little more” and said it was corporate that is really getting on them about their serving size ….I don’t know whether to believe him or not but if so, I am not surprised that this location had no one else there at the time I visited. If this is how my local Handels was I’d never return either !! I really feel bad you Bountiful folks because you’re missing out on an absolute great franchise that has AMAZING ice cream for the price/serving, just NOT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT !! Btw, we had such a great time staying here in Bountiful while driving into SLC for our daughter’s volleyball tournament this weekend ! You all have an absolute gem here...

Super disappointed in their online set up. I spent wayyyy to much time trying to get an order for delivery placed and the link was broken and wouldn't let me, I'm pretty tech savvy as well. So I try to go to door dash and order and their pricing is $2 more on everything they the fees ontop of that. The whole situation was a mess and then I called the store to place an order and the first lady had no idea how to handle my inquiry and gives it to the shift lead and he didn't know how to handle it either.. 😑 hopefully this ice-cream is as good as they say it is because this hassle thus far is not worth it. I understand knocking out the kinks in a business and hopefully this helps. I ended up spending the extra money and fees to get the door dash. I hope I can be compensated for all of this for perhaps a proper Handel's experience and hopefully this was just...
