(2017) I came here for the first time last night on my Birthday....
WOW.
THIS IS AMAZING! I LOVED IT!
I'm pretty sure all my paychecks are going to be coming here.
(2022) I came in to pick up my take out order excited to have the quality meal that I always get when I come here, I pay, grab the two items and leave. I get to my car and look through the food to make sure everything is right, and I notice that a item is not what it should be.
So I walk back in and explain the situation. At this point I'm assuming it's a simple mistake on their part. I've worked at a pizza restaurant I know what it's like yhese things happen. (This item I thought I had ordered was a appetizer) (this item also comes in the form of a pizza) The lady at the counter is very kind and understanding. She goes into the back and comes back with who I assume is the owners wife and who took my order over the phone.
As soon as the lady walks out she immediately starts telling me off that I'm wrong about how I thought I had ordered the food, while using a very unkind tone.
She explained to me that I confirmed on the phone of what I ordered. I think back to myself and thought and say to her that I thought when we were on the phone I confirmed that the first item I asked for was a pizza the Capprosia. And that we hadn't gotten to the second item yet.
She proceeds to grab their menu and starts showing me how I'm wrong about the order. At this point the level of anexity for me is very high and how uncomfortable I was in this very fine professional setting was just too much. I grabbed the food and walked out apologizing for what I did and how bad I felt.
I honestly thought this was just a minor issue that could of been easily resolved but the level of unprofessionalism and disrespect involved made me extremely uncomfortable. This all could of just been a simple mistake in communication on either side but the way this was handled I am definitely not coming back which sucks because I absolutely love coming here for Valentines and my birthday and my wifes, but after this incident I just won't...
Read moreI’m in LOVE with Ti Amo! This quiet unassuming spot is a hidden treasure in Bountiful. I never knew it existed until a few weeks ago. The new owner, Arjan, really knows how to PIZZA–CON AMORE! He and his crew expertly whipped up the most amazingly authentic meal for our group! If I hadn’t known I was in Bountiful, Utah, I’d have thought I had stepped off a Napolitan street into a pizzeria Italiana! We started out with artisan bread drizzled in olive oil and balsamic glaze–warm and wonderful! We ordered three pizzas and a salad, all came to our table within minutes and were amazing! The Margherita and Rustica were spot-on, then we tried a build-your-own pizza with cauliflower crust, chicken, mushrooms, and balsamic glaze! We would also eye other dishes and pizzas emerging from the kitchen, vowing with each one to “definitely try that one next time!” (Antipasti misto is on the top of our list!) We finished up with hazelnut gelato–an all-time favorite! I loved the fact that several groups of diners sat at their tables laughing and conversing while sharing gelato. Now that’s Italian! Food is family! It’s easy to feel at home in the laid-back atmosphere of Ti Amo. I love the rustic feel of the wood-fired oven in the open kitchen, and watching the chefs twirl pizza dough is always a delight! Then there’s the more cosmopolitan feel of the Italian walking tours playing on the big screen that put you right there among the Italians (without the cost of airfare!) Many diners in the restaurant were commenting on certain well-known sites, “I’ve been there!” I also loved the Italian radio playing in the background. I could hear everyone at my table or tune out and listen to familiar songs. The feeling was cozy but without obligation (like when you’re watching someone’s vacation movies). I’ll often return to Ti Amo for its authentic pizza, gelato, desserts, and friendly atmosphere. I’m determined to try everything...
Read moreThis evening, I tried to call in to place a phone order for some calzones. 3 attempts to call, no answer. They didn't even have a voicemail to let me know they are open for business. So I drove to the restaurant, saw they were open, went in and placed my order to go. They said it would take 45 minutes (7 p.m.). I asked if they would prioritize it given that they didn't answer the phone. No such luck. So, I tell the hostess, I will be in my car right out front, waiting for a call to let me know the order is ready. About 5 minutes to 7, an order in 4 boxes comes out of the kitchen to the front counter, the hostess helps a group of 5 get gelato, seats 3 new parties that walk in, cash out 2 departing tables, and takes a couple of phone orders (how'd they get so lucky). Because we are in the middle of a pandemic, I didn't want to go in with the crowd there to inquire if the order was mine. After the crowd cleared I went in (10 minutes after 7), sure enough that was my order and no call. The bottom box was cold, so I asked to speak to the manager. She came out and would only argue with me, not make any effort to offer a token of reconciliation. So, we are committed to never return, and also warn others of this pathetic service. Oh, and the calzones all dough, sparse fillings, and a couple nearly completely black on top of two of them. This place needs to fix their game on...
