My review is based on the service and speed. I will give them this, the rolls were delicious. The size of the rolls were decent and you get what you pay for. Here is why they get a 2 star. It was around 5 or a little after 5 that we arrived. We were immediately seated and the server came introduced himself and took our drink order. He gave us a few minutes to look over the menu and came back and answered a few questions and took our order. In the meantime I looked around the place it didn’t seem busy yet but within 15-20 minutes it started to get crowded. They sat a couple next to us about 10 minutes after we were seated. So once our waiter took our order and he then went to the couple next to us and took theirs. We ordered 4 rolls and 2 came out which were my husbands and about 5-6 minutes later mine came out. But before mine did come out the couple next to us got their appetizer and rolls brought to them. So we finished our rolls and we decided to get another roll. The couple next to us also ordered something else. About 15 minutes later the waiter come and asked us if we are still waiting for our roll and we said yes in the meantime the couple next to us received theirs. Another 10 minutes pass and no roll. We catch the waiter to inform him that we want to cancel that last roll since it had been 25 minutes and it has not been out. He says no problem and runs to the back and what do you know brings out our roll saying that he took it off our bill that we can have it on the house. Well we felt guilty taking it because we had cancelled it, cause it took 25 minutes to get a roll. All in all we were there about close to 2 hrs where much of time was spent waiting on our food. I don’t want to play to stereotype card but I will say this my husband and I stood out from the crowd of “hipsters” or “fit couples”. Not sure if that had anything to do with our rolls taking forever or if the waiter just didn’t submit the rolls or the kitchen was just slow. But I can say that the rolls we did have were great. I enjoyed they had the option...

I recently had dinner at Fat Fish Bountiful with a coworker. The atmosphere was nice—very chill and laid-back. It did take about 10 minutes before we were greeted by a server, which felt a bit long, but she was super friendly and apologetic, so no hard feelings there. We had already picked out our food by then.

I ordered the Spider Roll and the Ceviche Plate (from the Secret Menu), while my coworker went with the White Rabbit, Maui Wowie, and Low Rider rolls.

My coworker's picks:

Low Rider: Hands down, my favorite of the night—even though I didn’t order it. The flavor was well-balanced with a nice kick from the jalapeño sauce, and the green onions really popped.

White Rabbit: Also solid. Good texture and flavor.

Maui Wowie: It was alright. A bit sweet for my personal taste, but I could see others enjoying it.

My picks:

Spider Roll: Pretty basic. It wasn’t bad, just not memorable. I’ve had better versions elsewhere.

Ceviche Plate: This was the biggest letdown. I was excited to try something different at a sushi spot, but it ended up tasting like a plain fish mix you'd find in a poke bowl. There was none of the citrusy brightness or spice you'd expect in ceviche—no noticeable lime, cilantro, or spice. I ended up asking for lemon wedges to try and bring some life into it, which helped a little but still didn’t make up for the lack of flavor.

Overall, it was an okay experience. Nothing terrible, just a bit underwhelming on my end. My coworker, on the other hand, loves this place and eats here every time he’s in town for work—so clearly, it hits the mark for some people. Maybe I just didn’t order the right things.

Would I come back? Possibly, but I’d skip the ceviche and try more of the...

Went to eat here over the weekend with my family. Our waiter was very nice, but was either new to the wait staff or new to waiting tables in general. A children's menu needs to be available. I'm not asking for crayons and puzzles, just something that gives me options to show my children so they can decide what they would like to eat. I did ask if a Pho could be split into two separate bowls for my kids. Our waiter asked and the kitchen refused. Then after leaving the table to place our order the waiter came back and said that there is a children's pho option that he found in the computer. Again a children's menu would be nice or the kitchen should have said no we can't split, but we do have a children's portions. The pho itself was not bad, however they are very stingy with the sauces and veggie plate. The portion we were given I assume was just for the two adult bowls, but was honestly barely enough sprouts for one bowl. My children also eat the veggies with their pho, so if you wouldn't like them wasted you could just simply ask if the children will be needing veggies to plan accordingly. Our jalapeno appetizer was good, but the plate seemed almost to small or maybe just to skinny of a plate for the dish. We did order one Caterpillar roll which was the greatest disappointment of all. I liked that the eel sauce was placed on the side as a design so that I can choose how much I would like on my roll is any, but this was very heavy on the cucumber and almost no eel was present inside the roll. So I suppose in conclusion if you can close this place isn't bad, but if you have time to drive somewhere else for your sushi or...

I'll preface this by saying I am not a fish eater, so I was a little nervous about going to a sushi restaurant. Turns out there were plenty of options to choose from that met my needs. And EVERYTHING was good. My husband really enjoyed his sushi roll, and I ordered a Korean short rib bento that was DELICIOUS. My husband wanted something light, and I wanted something on the healthier but more filling size. This was perfect to meet both of our needs. I was worried the portion size would be too small but I was so full and didn't even finish my food. The bento box does come with 2 California rolls which I didn't eat. We also ordered veggie tempura which was delicious. If you want an excellent alcoholic beverage, the Fly Beyond Thai was delicious. If you enjoy White Russian drinks, you'll enjoy this a lot. Our waitress was attentive, offered best seller suggestions for us both, and answered other questions we had as it was our first time here. It was clean, and the ambiance was nice - feeling upscale but accessible! Price was reasonable for the quality and portion of food. Getting cocktails will make it cost way more though as they average $8 to $10 per drink. We both really enjoyed the experience and we will definitely go back soon!
