RJ Grill — Restaurant in Bountiful

This is my second time coming here, my first time was after they first opened, ordered the Monte Cristo and the Mac and cheese, the Monte Cristo was not good at all, to the point no one wanted to continue eating theirs, and the Mac and cheese came so burnt my son struggled eating it at all. However the service was great. Today we decided to give it another try, it's been open for months now and I've been seeing amazing reviews on Facebook. I walked in to place my order and I guess saying the cheeseburger meal was the wrong move, the young kid behind the counter seemed to lose his mind over it, throwing his arms up gesturing to the menu and saying "meal, what do you mean meal, we don't do meals" I stated it says it comes with fries, he continues on about the meal thing, but eventually says yeah it comes with fries, I place my order with a few minor changes. And when I get my order both have issues, they were a bit better with their customer service after I explained my issues and corrected the order, however when I got home it seems they left the parts of the order that were fine just sitting on the counter, the whole bottom bun of the cheeseburger was soggy from the condiments. And the other order had unseasoned cold fries. Super disappointed and decided we won't return, I'm not sure if we keep coming to this place on bad nights or if others just have low standards of what they consider good, but this just isn't and...

We went here on a Saturday and it wasn't busy when we went in. After we ordered it started to fill in. First off, this place is expensive and the food was mediocre at best. Second off, it took a long time for them to get us our food. We ordered 3 burgers and a grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was extremely overpriced. The burger patty on my burger seemed like it was fresh but it didn't even fill up the whole bun and was quite small for the price. The biggest problem though was that they didn't bring out one of our orders with our other food. They kept bringing out food for other people who arrived after us. Finally after talking to the employee several times they brought out food for us but it was completely the wrong thing. It was supposed to be a cheeseburger with onion rings but they brought out a chicken sandwich with waffle fries and the guy who brought it out insisted it was the right meal. After a couple more wrong attempts and waiting we finally just got a refund on that meal and left disappointed. We won't go back ever again and expected a lot more with their high prices and good reviews we saw. One last thing. They gave out order numbers to keep on the table but seemed super confused at how to use them or where food was supposed to go. It looked like others were getting incorrect orders too. It was just overall a chaotic overpriced mess for mediocre food...

Went RJ Grill in Bountiful because there was a glowing review in a Facebook group I'm in. Sadly I was not nearly impressed as they were.

My son ordered the Bacon Mac Burger and I got the Monte Crisco.

My son said his burger was a 7/10. The burger patty was well seasoned. The macaroni was really bland. He loves super crispy tots so he really enjoyed his.

My monte crisco was super greasy (napkins galore just eat what little I managed to choke down) and the oil tasted rancid. The bread was also soggy. The powdered sugar was dusted on my sandwich fresh from the deep fryer and it melted into a sticky glaze that was unappetizing. Also my sandwich description stated it comes with shredded provolone and instead they used American cheese. It didn't go well with the sandwich. I was asked if I liked my sandwich. I told them that honestly I didn't. I had left 3/4ths of it on the platter. I explained what was wrong and I was not offered a fresh sandwich made right nor was I offered refund. He just shrugged and said ok. As for my tots, see my above comment about rancid oil. Not even 30 minutes of getting home my son was in the bathroom with "issues".

We will try again after they've been opened a while longer and had more time to fix problems. We want to support local small businesses. I just think I'll avoid their Monte Crisco and opt for something...
