Update 4/15/2024: Huge thank-you to the owner, Zach, for his support and customer-centric approach. We were in contact regarding the situation and he was very helpful. This was a much better experience and I will definitely be returning now!
Original 4/12/2024: The coffee is excellent! However, the staff can be insulting and unprofessional. Before you read this, know that this review lists the good and the bad. No two people have the same experience, so take this with a grain of salt. Also, any quotes will be the EXACT words used by the employees. This review captures the whole story and takes both perspectives into account. I'm an employee at this mall, and I'm sure the staff knows this by now. During my short breaks at work, I make quick decisions regarding food and water, and we need access to cups in the breakroom. The staff here has been incredibly kind in the past, even offering me cups on the house! I've been so appreciative of their generosity that I've tipped them over 100% on drinks as a thank-you gesture. Today, though, I was yelled at, cussed out, and humiliated simply for asking for water. It came out of nowhere! There was no build-up or anything. One of the bartenders just exploded at me. I would have immediately offered to pay if they had talked to me nicely. I just gave them a polite "thank you" and left. From the perspective of the bartenders- I understand your concern. Yes, I have asked for a lot of free cups. However, I've paid you well enough with my tips and warm attitude. How much does a plastic cup cost? Maybe up to 20 cents? If I've asked for 50 cups (a VERY high estimate), that would be, what... 10 dollars? My 10-dollar tip already covers that. I prefer to analyze situations rather than people. Perhaps there was an incident that led to this anger? I don't know what the circumstance may be, but I do know that taking out anger on me is uncalled for in a work environment. Here's a better response to the question, "Can I get water?" Instead of a "What the **? You want water?" how about a "Do you mind paying for the water this time?" If it's a joke, I want you to know that you do not know me well enough to overstep like that. We are professionals, and we do not even joke like that in the workplace. I work in customer service and would NEVER speak to a customer the way I was spoken to today, no matter the situation or circumstances. This is not a personal critique, just a comment on the service. I don't say this out of anger; I say it out of a desire to see this work environment improved. I'm not the kind of person who immediately gives a business a 1-star rating out of spite. I'm sure the bartenders are great people. This incident will always rub me the wrong way, though. Personally, I will be spending my time elsewhere. However, I wish the staff all the best; thank you for...
