On Sep 19, 2024 I ordered a cheesesteak and soda at Woodstock 30188 location with so many other options in the food court. I asked for ketchup with my order. A young associate told me that “I couldn’t have one because I didn’t order French fries..” I was shocked at how rude she said that. At that point I was okay with her denial of providing me with some ketchup with my order. Unfortunately the younger associate was terribly rude to me and my friend who was visiting the state of Georgia for the first time. The group of friends were standing by waiting for their orders. One of my friend, ordered a combo. She paid for it and did not receive the soda she ordered and paid for it. I am an American citizen and I live near the Outlet Mall. What was supposed to be a relaxing day on my vacation, ended up being a very stressful day. I didn't need this bad situation! The problem wasn't that they couldn't give me ketchup, but the way the young associate spoke to me rudely. She told the older associate that “these type of customers don't know how expensive ketchup is and keep asking for it!” I told her how much ketchup was because I would pay for it, but she said in a very rude manner that there was no need to charge but that the restaurant would not provide it for my order in a very RUDE WAY! I got very upset and spilled my soda all over myself. The young associate told me to have a good day and get out of there in a very rude way! I couldn't believe that was happening and I instantly lost my appetite. I told the older associate that she had good a customer service but that the younger associate was very poor at customer service. The associate repeated that I have a good day in a rude and authoritarian manner. I felt horrible at that moment and ate the sandwich in a hurry without tasting the food. What should have been an hour of pleasure turned into a nightmare. It was simply very sad. I work with clients and I have to provide good service to them in order to have a good relationship with them. I certainly will not recommend Charleys Cheesesteaks to my customers or friends anymore. I simply had the option of eating at other competitors nearby and I chose the one that had poor quality service. I do not know if this review will serve as a warning but please train the associates at the Woodstock location to have better customer service in the future and not treat customers with accents with contempt. I felt that foreigners are not welcome at this location. If you can't give me ketchup because I didn't order fries I could understand but you don't need to be rude and impolite when speaking and saying that “this type of customer does not understand that this is expensive” to my face. We encourage him to be independent for life skills so he ordered by himself. After 2 hours when we checked on him, he said he was still waiting. We panicked so we went to the food court and helped him talked with the people. When we asked about the food # 66, they said they are in the 90s now. So I said can you please prepare his order because he was not able to pick it up. The guy who was cooking preparing the meat said yes he will prepare, turned his back and said to his co worker, SOMEBODY IS TRYING TO GET A FREE MEAL! I was livid!!!! Excuse me???? I can pay for 10x of what he ordred! I told the guy in a very strict voice, excuse me did you say we are trying to get a free meal???? I am asking you to prepare his order because he did not get one! What is your name? He said, "Estes". And he turned to my son and said, I got you it will just take 10 minutes. We are so frustrated, WE WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE. Read moreIt used to be fairly good but customer service is quite bad now. 99% of places you get a drink at have free refills and they no longer do for soft drinks or tea, it's a dollar extra PER refill on top of the $3 or so they charge for the regular drink which is crazy. And what's even worse is that they charge $1 for a cup of water because the styrofoam cup Cost a dollar extra. Like seriously you're charging $1 for 3¢ cups now????? on top of the $10 sandwich. Which fast food restaurant has ever charged extra for that. None of this was explained beforehand either so we just expected the water to be free since it was a cup of water, not a bottle.
