Came here today with a friend on her lunch break, she wanted to order the fish soup however the waiter suggested that if her time constraints were too strict that the Ricky Special was the better choice, so we ended up ordering 2 Ricky Specials. When we got our food I get the Ricky Special but they bring her the fish soup instead. I address the issue with the waiter but tell them that we're fine with the fish soup. As far as my friend's thoughts on her food she had no complaints. I on the other hand had a few notes... The Ricky Special is two ribeye steaks served with a bed of rice, plantain and grilled broccoli. You get a free appetizer of chips and salsa while you wait for your food which is cool. First note is that the amount of salsa that comes with the chips is not enough for the amount of chips they give you, which may be done to save food costs but can slow down the work flow, because it may cause the guests to wave down their waiter and ask for more salsa, and during a rush for the sake of excellent service every second counts. Second, the ribeye steaks were thin, and I would rather have one thick steak than two thin steaks. They were tender in some areas, tough in others. I was expecting the two medallion sized steaks, and spotted it immediately, literally the first question I asked him when I got my food was, "is this is the ribeye?" Third, the plantain was slightly undercooked but some people like their plantain that way so I'll chalk it up to preference. Fourth, the broccoli was inconsistent, meaning there were some pieces that were tender and some that weren't. Fifth, the rice flavor was great but a little too oily, add less oil and it's 10/10.

One may be wondering why I rated it 4 stars, upon leaving the restaurant they gave us another Ricky Special for free to make up for the mistake, gestures like that go a long way in my book.

The atmosphere was great: clean, new and...

Don’t come here unless you want it to ruin your opinion of every other Mexican restaurant. We were regulars at the other Cancun location until this one opened closer to home. The food is always incredible and they always ensure the food is to your liking. They are always accommodating with customizations and recommendations when I want to get creative with my order. The portion sizes are good as well. The drinks are always strong and you will get your money’s worth. I always get a skinny margarita and it is consistently fresh and perfect. It’s also nice that you have the option to get a to-go margarita to walk around the mall. Miguel, Cesar, Joe, and all the staff always provide excellent service and create an atmosphere that keeps you coming back. This is the best place for when you are craving...

I can only speak on this specific location, but I'm so glad I discovered Ricky Cancun Mexican Grill at The Outlet Shoppes of Atlanta in Woodstock. The food is absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. The service is top-notch - and the servers are friendly, fun, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, perfect for any time of day with friends & family.

I highly recommend trying the Loco Rice - it’s delicious! The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable compared to most restaurants in the area. Overall, I always have an excellent experience when I dine here, and if you’re shopping at the outlets I suggest you choose to eat here and not at the Food Court, because most of the options are closed down or not good...

Is this Ricky's or Cancun Grill? The signage and restuarant are just as confused as the food. The drinks were pleasantly strong. The chips taste store bought, not even warm. I do love the salsa. The menu was fairly expensive, but the pictures were blurry, out of focus and unappealing. Service was friendly and we feeled welcome. The music is some hispanic radio channel full of commercials. Very weird. The food, oh lord. My taco salad became a soup because or the refried (nah, not at all) with extra tough steak. My girlfriend's Pollo Feliz looked decent with two large cuts of seasoned chicken cutlets. It was more of a fajita bowl, it wasn't hot and was just missing some hispanic flavors. I've been all over Mexico (especially cancun) and the food was largely a disgrace. We miss Agave Azul ~

If I were to set out to create a restaurant custom-built to attract and cater to a loyal customer base, I would do exactly what the owners of Ricky’s Mexican food restaurant did. They took over an under performing restaurant at the Outlets in Woodstock, deep cleaned it, renamed it, created a very flavorful menu, and staffed it with an incredible group of people who make you feel like you are home…every time you visit. It’s our ā€œgo toā€ in Woodstock when we don’t feel like cooking or frankly, when we’ve had a rough day at work and need a pick me up. You leave there looking forward to the next visit. If you haven’t tried it since they took over, would highly recommend giving this place a whirl at the Outlets.
