Asian fusion buffet - Yesterday my friend took me out to eat and the food wasn't that great. I mean there wasn't that much food to choose from and it's just basic Chinese food. We didn't see any Thai food like they had advertised. Our opinion of this place is not so great. I think they are overrated and the price as well.. Here's the story. Our server wasn't good. They put both of us in this tiny 2-seater that we had no room at all for the both of us and the food plates when there were other options available because they weren't busy. While we were eating and trying to finish eating, the server kept coming over and wanted us to pay while we were finishing up eating. We told her we would pay at the counter as soon as we were done eating. She continued to stand there watching us eat. That is so rude of her to just stand there. My friend looked at me and said let's just give her the debit cards so she can leave us alone. So my friend gave her the card and she charged the card, gave us back the card, and the receipt. She didn't tell us he needed to sign the paper, but she finally left us alone after she made us pay..Then we got done eating and we walked out to the parking lot. She ran out of the restaurant yelling at us to sign the receipt and leave a tip. My friend signed and she didn't give him a copy, we didn't know why. Anyway, she demanded that my friend needed to pay the tip too. My friend told her well next time you shouldn't hover over us and watch us eat, demand us to pay before we're done eating, and maybe have better service. Both of us were thinking the food wasn't that great either! Back to the story, she got really mad at him and told us This is America and I couldn't hear what else she said !! My friend thought she was being racist because he is black and im am Asian.. Next thing we drove off...My friend and I were really hurt by what she said to us. So we came back and asked to see the manager and told him what happened and all he could say was sorry and did nothing!! Didn't even get the person who was rude and racist to apologize to us. Never ever going to that restaurant again!! I wish I had recorded her with my phone but I didn't...
Read moreWe have lived in the area for the last 7 years and we have been to Osaka once before. The last time that we ate here we got takeout and we felt at the time that our experience with the food was mediocre at best.
Our visit here yesterday was absolutely amazing. I ordered a beef teriyaki bento box and to say the least I was not disappointed even a little bit. The food was amazing and fresh. My husband and I both ordered range of items off of the menu and I also ordered a couple of different sushi rolls since it is a treat that I only get to occasionally enjoy. The freshness of the fish was particularly delightful since many places that I have ordered Sushi from there is a fishy smell and flavor if the fish is more than a few days old.
We happened to be sitting close enough to one of the hibachi grills to be entertained by the chef who was preparing a meal for a number of people. He was very entertaining and delightful to watch prepare food and interact with the customers.
Our experience the second time at this establishment was nothing short how spectacular. The staff are friendly, the restaurant is very clean, and the food is exceptional. We will definitely be going back. I highly recommend...
Read moreWonderful! We were thrilled when a full service hibachi grill came to town - it's reasonable priced ($$) for the quality of the food (+++). One thing that is VERY nice - they have the option to sit in a regular table and a hibachi-style table. You can order more conservative lunches, hibachi, and/or sushi from either sitting arrangement.
The chefs are wonderful - very funny. If you've never gone to this type of restaurant before, you're in for quite a show. Factor into the price of the food that you will also enjoy entertainment - kind of like watching a cooking show while you eat and enjoy your dinner. For those who have experienced other hibachi-style eating experiences: They do the volcano, the egg spinning, and all the cool tricks that you'd hope for. One thing I really liked is that they don't flip shrimp at you (some places do) - instead, they try tossing a vegetable when they put on their show. Since people catch it about 50% of the time or less, you don't have meat riddling the floor.
We have enjoyed birthdays there - they provide desert to parties for that. We have appreciated that the restaurant supports local school fundraisers.
All-in-all, this is a place to schedule on...
