Great food, and great price for a sit down family meal. Never disappointed leaving this place, which says a lot in this day and age. I leave restaurants dissatisfied more than I am pleased anymore since the shut downs, it just seems like everywhere has declined in service, fresh food and their all more expensive now, too ! So you pay more for less quality and quantity. N those who are hired to serve the public have bad attitudes, I've never seen such a decline in the food industry. But El Campesino has stayed true to their fresh food, herbs and homemade salsa. You can taste the freshness in their vegetables and herbs, my family is a big fan and will stay loyal to this place being on the top of our list of favorites. My husband and I used to enjoy this place as teenagers, now we get to enjoy this place with our own kids ! No decline of satisfaction throughout all these years, so WOW ! Thank you El Campesino for keeping family and freshness as your number one priority. I will always recommend this place to go with family...
Read moreCampesino's grill has pretty good food for an okay price but the customer service is abysmal. Dining in is fine but getting food to go is frustrating to the point of being absolutely not worth it. I'm convinced that even if you order ahead, they don't start cooking your meal until you show up. Probably the last ten times I've ordered food, it's taken 30-45 minutes longer than what they've told me. Regardless of what you order, you will spend at least 25-30 minutes crammed in their tiny lobby with 6 other families trying to get their food or get seated, because they have one person taking orders, seating people, settling checks, and seating tables. Without fail, they will tell you to show up a half an hour early and expect you to wait in their tiny, unorganized, confusing lobby, filled with people all trying to do different things, being managed by one overwhelmed 15 year old. I will not be going back anytime soon and I can't recommend you...
Read moreThe Camarones a la Diabla is excellent. For those that don't know, this is shrimp in a spicy sauce, and their version is excellent. The shrimp is good quality and is covered in a classic brown sauce with an authentic Mexican flavor.
This is a dish for people who like spicy food, and you can order it extra spicy.
Their cheese dip is excellent, their chips are very good as well as the salsa. The guacamole is decent.
For dessert the fried ice cream is awesome. You just have to try it to know what I mean.
Every dish I have ever had is above average and always fresh. The portions are generous for the price, and the prices are cheap. The service is prompt and the restaurant is clean. The restrooms are very clean and up to date.
I last visited in January 21, 2018 and was completely satisfied...
