This was my third attempt at this location. The first time we tried, we arrived as the doors opened for brunch. We did not have a reservation but since we were only 2 and we the first people there should have been no problem. However the staff refused to seat us because we did not a reservation. They were rude and essentially sent us away.
Second attempt: we called and asked if the menu was the same for dinner and lunch on the weekend. We were told it was. I made a reservation (or so I guess) because she never took our name. We got there and the entire dining area was booked for a 50th anniversary party. After waiting 10 minutes for a hostess ww were told we could only sit in the bar. There was no air in the bar and it was almost pitch black. The menu was completely different. We left without ordering.
Finally today we actually got to eat here.
The foccicio bread was very good. The bread was soft very flavorful.
The ravioli trio was interesting. The menu said it was shrimp, blue scallops and lobster in a flavored cream sauce. When I've had a similar item in the past it was stuffed in the ravioli and maybe a few little pieces on top. Not here. Be forewarned- it is messy and very unique. The lobster was in the shell at the bottom of a soup shaped bowl. The ravioli, scallops and shrimp were on top. So here I am digging to the bottom to get the lobster out and try to crack the claw. The cream sauce was orange and I was dripping in it. There is no way to eat this meal and stay clean. If I was dressed nicer I would be pissed because my clothes were ruined. It was such a Hassle. Hubby was done with his meal before I even started. The bowl made it worse to try and eat while cutting. Horrible combo. The presentation looked nice and it tasted good but not with the price, the work or the mess.
The tool house encrusted sirloin was very large. Cooked to order and tender, with side garlic mashed potatoes.
Service was slow but pleasant. Entrees cost too much and not worth the price.
Overall service based on all 3 visits: 1.5 stars, presentation on meals: 5.0, food...
Read moreAs we look forward to attending New Year’s Eve once again at Maxwell/ Luciano’s, I realize that although I posted this review on TripAadvisor, I neglected to post it on this site… so Here it is long overdue from Sept 2021…”We hosted a Bridal Shower / Brunch here for our daughter 2 weeks ago and I cannot say enough great things about it. I booked it very early.. last March, in the midst of Covid, when most other venues were not equipped to handle a reservation for Sept. Martin handled my request and was marvelous to work with… getting all the details down. When the time got close I worked with Stephanie and she was awesome, eager to satisfy every detail and request. And on the day, David ran himself ragged to get everything done to sheer perfection.
The day of the shower, we arrived to the Grand Hall all set up in spectacular fashion… tables set formally, lovely curtained dividers to make our space private, lovely entrance and a huge splendid adjacent area set up for the buffet.
This venue is breathtakingly beautiful, and having our celebration here allowed us to showcase the best Worcester has to offer! They had lovely background music playing to compliment the space perfectly.
The buffet was more than impressive and elegantly presented… fresh and delicious… from pastries, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, waffles, eggs Benedict to two lovely salads , then progressed on to three chosen entrees of fish, beef and pasta, potatoes and roasted vegetables…AND a chef served carving station of Turkey and ham as well as omelette station!! An array of petite desserts and complimentary mimosas and bloody Mary’s topped off the spread.
I cannot stress how many compliments we received on the elegance and perfection of this event!
My daughter and her fiancé were thrilled with every aspect of the day. Thank you Gus for running a top-notch restaurant and event venue!!” From Anne...
Read moreI just got back from Easter brunch that I reserved reservations at Via Maxwell Silverman's. I made these reservations over a month ago and they called me last week to confirm my reservation as well. As I pulled into Maxwell Silverman's I waited for the rest of my party to arrive then proceeded to see the sign outside of the door stating that Easter brunch is being held at Union station restaurant which I guess is a part of Maxwell Silvermans apparently. Mind you I have an 88 year old man with me at this time. No one in my party had any clue where this restaurant was nor did Maxwell Silverman's ever even mention or tell me the TWO times I spoke to them that Easter brunch was going to be held at this establishment instead. We proceeded to GPS it and get there parked on the third floor of a parking garage and had to walk down to find an elevator with an 88 year old man and about a dozen of adults. We finally figured out how to get inside as we approached to check in there was a line that we had to wait in to even be seated. Stood in line for about 15 minutes finally got up to the front and was told that we have to pay up front individually. Here comes the kicker they didn't even have change so we had to have exact change as well! Needless to say it was a nightmare totally chaotic not communicated well at all and we will never be returning there again for...
