Quenched my craving for sushi at Oishi Japanese Restaurant with a three roll lunch special. The taste of my rolls were on point and I was happily content. The fish and vegetables were fresh, the rice well seasoned and not thickly applied. I especially liked that they cut the rolls smaller so instead of the traditional 6 piece size, the rolls were cut into 8 pieces (totalling 24 pieces for lunch). My lunch also came with a choice of soup or salad. Highly recommend asking for extra dressing if you're getting the salad as it was scantily clad. My choices for rolls were: 1) Spicy White Tuna (sans tempura crunch), 2) Eel roll (it came with both avo & cuc) and 3) I special requested a Yellowtail Jalapeno roll (as that wasn't an option but they accommodated me 👍👍). My friends both ordered the General Gao Lunch Bento Box and I did have a little food envy but we shared bites and I got to sample a piece of the General Gao's Chicken. It was a tasty bite with a nice crispy exterior and tender interior. The prices were reasonable for post-COVID restaurant price hikes. I think the only thing that I could suggest for improvement was the ambiance. I immediately thought walking into the restaurant that it was lacking feng shui flow but potato poe-tah-toe. The food is good enough for a...

Ive had the food here a couple of times already. I would have kept coming back but today I decided to stay so I ordered raw sushi. I really wanted to like this place because their food is better than most places around the area but when I ordered raw sushi today, I didn’t like that I thought I saw something on my order. When I said something about it, the waitress was trying to insist it’s nothing when it was clearly something. She then called her manager (i think it was a manager), they took the plate and waitress told me they will change it. Not even 2 minutes later; they bring the plate back to me. They never changed that piece of raw sushi that I had a complaint about but rather they just took off whatever i saw on the sushi and brought the plate back to me. also there were no apologies from either waitress or manager. I won’t be eating here again. I really wanted to like it but when they brought the SAME raw sushi back to me, I thought oh it should be fine. I can eat around it i guess. But then I realized this is ridiculous because I shouldn’t have to do that and especially because they said they were changing that one piece of sushi but didn’t. I won’t be...

I recently visited this fantastic sushi restaurant and had an absolutely delightful experience. The dishes we sampled were exceptional, and each one offered a unique burst of flavor. Here are some highlights:

Firecracker: This dish was truly a standout. The combination of flavors and textures was simply amazing, earning a perfect 10/10 from us. The name perfectly captures the explosive taste experience.

Mount Fuji: Another top-notch choice, Mount Fuji impressed us with its exquisite balance of ingredients. It was also rated a perfect 10/10. The presentation and taste were both remarkable, making it a must-try.

Sugar Mama: For those who prefer vegetarian options, Sugar Mama is a fantastic choice. It delivers a delightful mix of flavors that will satisfy any palate. We rated it a perfect 10/10 for its creativity and taste.

Red Sox: While not my personal favorite, the Red Sox roll was still very impressive. It had a great flavor profile and was highly enjoyable. We rated it a solid 9/10, reflecting its high quality.

Overall, our dining experience at this sushi place was outstanding, and we highly recommend trying these dishes...

Visiting in town and decided to come and try this for lunch. Easy location to find but not much space on the inside. Lots of to go orders so that didn't seem to be a problem. If you're looking for a formal sitdown place with proper service, this is not it (nothing a bad way, just dont expect what you'd get at a sit down place). I found the employees to be friendly and prompt in helping me with a lot of energy and potential for more. I ordered both a sushi roll and spicy ramen with pork. The sushi was delicious but the ramen not so much. The ramen had a little spice that wasn't overwhelming but no umami to be had. The noodles are clearly of the instant ramen type which is a major let down. The flavor was heavy in salt and not much else. The pork could have used a slightly more fatty cut to give a deeper flavor and the egg was overcooked and I didnt bother with it. Overall friendly, but unfortunately nothing better than average.
