I have been to Frankie V's for their lunch buffet, and that wasn't bad at all.
However, me and my family visited Frankie V's last night and it was absolutely horrendous.
From the moment we entered the front of the building, we had a 5 minute wait before a hostess even approached us. The hostess was a very nice young girl, but seemed a little unorganized which wasnt a big deal. We were sat a table in the bar area, even though we were a family of 6 people including kids. This too wouldn't have been a problem if the speakers weren't turned up so loud.
The server came and took our orders for drinks. Which included 4 sodas, a bottled root beer, and my Bahama mama cocktail. The drinks came relatively quick however the person delivering the beverages was not the server so getting drinks to the appropriate spots was a bit of hassle. However, my bahama mama took another 15 minutes before making it to me. Apparently, the bar tender was also a server? Anyway, so it came 15 minutes later (after the salads and appetizers had already made it there) I took one sip of the bahama mama and I nearly vomited. It tasted like captain morgan was forced down someones throat and then regurgitated into a glass with a little juice. It was horrendously strong and unflavorful. The food, was hit and miss. my family members lasagna was pretty good, however my shrimp and scallops pasta dish was very bland. For the price, the food wasnt terrible which is why I gave this place two stars.
The worst part of it all was the service. The server was EXTREMELY disorganized. She seemed either new or drunk. I don't think she was new though. We were never offered refills and everything took a drastically long amount of time (getting to go boxes didnt happen until we asked a different server for some) My bahama mama only had a sip taken out of it and then sat there untouched, and she never once asked whether or not there was an issue. I'm not the type of person to ask for refunds or replacements. I paid the bill, and still tipped the server $10. However, I will never be returning to Frankie V's. This is a shame as they have a staple spot here in Wyoming,MI and it has so...

We arrived just at 20 minutes and just had to wait maybe 5 to 10 minutes which is fine for me because I prefer to have my food as hot and fresh as possible rather than having it sit around... Before ordering I called and talked to somebody and they do deliver themselves rather than using a service and currently they did not have any desserts because they make them homemade and the individual who does that was currently not with them for some reason.. my son had the mad Burger which was great he said and added sweet potato fries so it came to $15.50 which I believe is about average for an Applebee's or someplace similar... I had a super deluxe sub and added onion rings and that came to $16... I believe that is a touch pricey for subs however it was good and came wrapped in two halves in foil in a box with my onion rings which were still hot and crispy when we got home and those were decent... We ordered an all meat burrito to put in the refrigerator for the next day which was $13.. we taste tested it and it was quite good... THE REASON WE MUST GIVE THEM THREE STARS IS BECAUSE THE BONELESS WINGS WERE NOT BONELESS WINGS AT ALL... WE ORDERED A MEDIUM ORDER OF BONELESS WINGS WITH A MANGO BARBECUE ZING SAUCE PAYING $9.. SO IN MY EVALUATION AND EXAMINATION THE BONELESS WINGS WERE JUST A LARGE CHICKEN BREAST COOKED OFF SOMEHOW WITHOUT ANY BREADING AND THEN EITHER CUT INTO SQUARES WITH A SCISSORS OR WITH A KNIFE AND JUST SIMPLY TOSSED AND SAUCED AND PUT IN A BOX WITH TIN FOIL... SOME OF THE CHUNKS OF MEAT WERE GRAINY AND TOUGH... WE WERE DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE THE ONLINE ORDER MENU DID NOT MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT THEM BEING NAKED AND UNLIKE A USUAL BONELESS WING... HAD I KNOWN THIS I WOULD NOT HAVE ORDERED THEM... Other than that major issue I would probably try them again and maybe try their Pizza and maybe some of the other items we ordered as well... Maybe a bit pricey but everything is currently up in price... Would give them 3.5 Stars maybe even 3.75 stars if Google...
Read moreTLDR: THEY TRIED TO STEAL FROM US AFTER PAYING CASH ON $100+ BILL. Refused to give us our change. AVOID! ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY NOW CHARGE YOU A FEE IF YOU DON’T PAY CASH! DO NOT GO HERE! The food isn’t THAT great to support a place so poorly run.
We went there back in December. We paid cash and our waitress gave us the dollar amount, but refused to give us exact change. She said they never give change back, so we asked for the manager. The manager (she was a brunette woman) acted weird and tried to excuse it saying that they round up. Only, in our case they rounded down. (ex: change is 3.55 and waitress gave us $3, manager thought she gave us $4, you know). The whole time our waitress was standing across the restaurant giving us nasty looks. I said that she had not rounded up, she had rounded down, and it was illegal to not give us our change. The manager then walked away and sent the waitress back with our change. I asked to speak to the manager again and then told her how unacceptable it was to have the waitress come back instead of finishing handling the situation herself since it had escalated, especially because the waitress had been giving us nasty looks and was unpleasant upon returning.
I wasn’t going to make a review back then, because I thought maybe the waitress was new and she just had gotten it wrong - I didn’t chalk it up to the whole business being run like that, like she had said back then.
But NOW, hearing that this place is charging you a fee for paying card, effectively discouraging you from paying anything other than cash… It’s weird. The waitress seemed to genuine believe that this was what their restaurant just did. I don’t recall the manager saying she was wrong (maybe she did), I remember she just tried to laugh it off as her rounding up, and only when I said that was not what happened and that I was clearly upset about this did she apologize.
