Granfalloons Tavern — Restaurant in York

The food is excellent, we can't deny, but the bar service sucks. Truly. We have been on serval occasions since 2 yrs ago. I can't say the food isn't great, it is, but the bartenders are straight rude. Everytime. And they raise prices in the summer months to drink outside in their courtyard which is crazy, it's the same drinks all year long. I'm not getting any more to drink, Orange crushes go up serval dollars simply because it's warm outside? That's ridiculous. And now it's st paddy day, 2025, we stopped coming for the raised summer drink prices, now our first stop in 6 mon, we aren't greeted, order at the bar and ask if there's any seating and we're told to "use our eyes" said ok we'll go upstairs outside, they say if your don't see us upstairs in 10 min, come find us. 20 min later, food sitting at the bar cold, right at the bar. No service. I know it's busy, but say that, nicely. Don't say "come back if you don't see us". Ridiculous.

edited the security guy of all ppl tonight is more conscience of the patrons needs than the actual bar staff* he actually tried tonight to make it right and be hospitable. And was much more customer friendly and energetic than that ppl who are making tips to serve. Which to me is just crazy. I know york city can be rough, how about use your professional experience to figure out where that attitude is warranted. Is he making tips?? Doubt it, but...

Stopped at this place 2wks ago with my fiance and step daughter and her boyfriend . I just wanna say the gentleman at the door when you first come in and he checks ur ID .. he is the reason I am giving a 5 star rating and the reason we will be back . First off the food is AMAZING and the price you cant beat. Very chill and laid back atmosphere , great music and the decor is awesome and creative . The guy at the door that checks ur ID we never did get his name but he went about and beyond . Not only did he check to make sure we were good and that our food was good , but he also brought our food out and our drinks and throughout the night he kept checking in on us and refilling our drinks as requested. Overall this place and its staff deserve a 5 star...

Our class reunion event venue, The Roosevelt Tavern in York, PA, changed their contract with us 5 days before the reunion. Five days!!

Fortunately, Granfollons, also in York, PA, had us set up and ready to go in 1 day. Oh, what a great place it is! We had the entire back yard to ourselves for quite a while. The food was fantastic. They had a complete menu, not just your typical bar fare. They had a fully stocked bar ready for our arrival. They even had adult (read: humongous) games of corn hole, connect four and jenga. They had a DJ after a couple of hours.

Amazing venue, amazing food, amazing bar and amazing staff = 5 stars! I would highly recommend your next event or even just a night out ay...
