I hope you have a better experience. I've eaten Sushi for 40 years all over the country The good: Nothing I experienced was good enough to mention. Ninja's was passable, barely. I arrived after lunch around 2:30-3pm, so NOT busy. 👎Greeting/seating very slow. Waited 15 minutes for 1 at the almost empty bar with 4 people finished, getting ready to leave. Food arrives very slowly & is not served by the sushi chef that is making your food right in front of you 🙄 like a real Sushi bar. 👎You order everything through a grumpy young gal who would rather be anywhere else, or a nice but kind of nervous young Asian gal who unfortunately barely understands English 👎 No interaction with chef Sitting at a Sushi bar & interacting with your chef is a very large part of it Sushi especially when you are solo as I usually am👎 👎Everything comes out at once like sitting at a table unlike a roll or an order of nigiri at a time which is 1 reason I never sit at a table👎 👎I love ika/squid. It was slimy & warm Most likely frozen, quick thawed in hot water. Gross 🤢👎 👎I love hand rolls. Not available on the 2 for 1 All Day Happy Hour Special along with at least 1/2 of the menu👎 👎1st time in you don't find this out until you're hungry, you've decided & are ordering. Great...🙄👎 Definitely will not return. I'm new here but there must be a REAL sushi bar...
Read moreI tried this restaurant because online the happy hour menu shows buy one get one for certain rolls. There aren’t many vegetarian options and I came to this place already knowing what I want to order. But when I showed up I was told that the rolls I wanted actually are not part of the happy hour. I’m not sure why the menu online would include these rolls just to tell me it’s not true when I show up. The waitress didn’t even bring me a happy hour menu for me to look through so I was already annoyed with the misleading information online but I still put in my order and asked for a sake bomb. The regular menu they gave me shows a sake bomb as one price but instead I was charged for the beer and the sake separately. At this point I’m already being charged double than what I expected for both the food and the drinks. The price is not the issue itself it’s that the restaurant advertises prices that aren’t true and the waitress doesn’t even bother to communicate that you will be over-charged. I wouldn’t bother coming back and I could have saved money going to a different location that actually follows through on deals...
Read moreMy family and I had driven to Yuma to attend a birthday party for a friend of ours. We were staying at the hotel across the street from Ninja Sushi and my 11-year-old daughter loves sushi so she asked if we could go to Ninja Sushi for lunch. I was skeptical about having sushi in Arizona but I said sure why not let's try it. Based on the reviews it looked like it was a good place to eat. When we walked in, the atmosphere was really good, the restaurant was clean and the air conditioning felt great. We were set down promptly and given menus. I was surprised to see the different selection that they had and my daughter quickly found what she was looking for. We went ahead and placed our order for some sushi rolls and some drinks and my wife, who does not like sushi, ordered Japanese fried rice. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The food was exceptionally good and my wife really enjoyed her fried rice but my daughter, gave it a two thumbs up meaning it was really good. I recommend this place and I will definitely come back to this place next time...
