All the employees minus the grooming would get the average of 4-5 stars, I have had some bumps though to be expected when you go to a store monthly to several times a month. I am giving a one star because I am LIVID with the grooming.
My 16WEEK old PUPPY went in for a bath, I was very up front that my boy is playful with brushing and things so either give a treat to distract prior or tell him no and make it obvious it isn't play. He goes to a private groomer for the most part and been going every few weeks since he was 9-10wks old. I was also up front I usually go else where, but he just needs a quick bath as he is dirty.
From the beginning I had red flags. They called me a day prior to tell me they need 2-3hrs just to bathe my puppy and to come early. Okay, thats fine I dont mind. I show up and my puppy is right at my feet working for treats. The "groomer" is standing as far as he can from us and seems very unsure of my 35pound puppy who hasn't even acknowledged the guys presence. When he goes to do the physical assessment he is behaving like my puppy was actively trying to bite him when he was literally standing still, wagging his tail and chomping on a treat happily. He then drags my puppy into the back with the slip lead with his arm out like my dog would turn any second- shocking he didnt...Just trotted at his side.
Hour and a half later I get called saying my puppy is too aggressive, all they accomplished was the bath and I needed to come get him. I was shocked and immediately went to go get him. On the way I reached out to his usual groomer to see if something wasn't being told, even though my 13yr old cousin has had bathed him without issue before. I show up and he just retells me my puppy is too aggressive. I point blank said, "you sure he wasn't playful and you took it as aggressive because he is a German shepherd??" NO ANSWER. When he comes to bring my puppy to me he is legit holding the slip lead so high and tight my puppy's paws were barely touching the ground. As soon as I got to him I took off the slip lead and put on his harness and leash without issue.
Surprise immediately after leaving the grooming area I am being complimented by both employees and customers on how well behaved my puppy is.
Either this grown man is terrified of dogs and needs a new job if a puppy being playful is "aggressive" or he was even more rough with him out of my sight and caused fight/flight instinct in my very well balanced and confident puppy.
He doesnt react at the vet when vaccinated, getting temperature take or fecal collected from the source. Im absolutely livid and dont even know how to have this situation corrected as this was a free bath. Just never returning or recommending the grooming department.
If you have an "aggressive" breed stay away they will treat them like demons no matter how...
Read moreEmployees are nice but their fish health is really bad. I bought 6 platys and 10 ghost shrimp, within a week 2 died platys died and 2 ghost shrimp died. My water parameters were really good. So I knew there wasn't anything wrong with the husbandry of the fish. They were just sick.
I went back the next week. To buy 6 more fish employee suggested I only take 4. So I brought home 4 more fish. I decided to quarantine all of the fish in medication so I could prevent any more deaths.
I spent over $50 on medications (ich x, maracyn, and paracleanse)
I quarantine all 8 fish, the remaining shrimp and the snails ( that hitchhiked off some hornwort I bought) in a hospital tank, pulled out all of the substrate in my display tank and replaced it ($20). In less than a week one more of my platys had died. I transfered my fish into their display tank after a full week in quarantine meds and noticed one of the bigger platys I had, had obvious signs of ick. I began a full treatment of ick x, daily water changes, gravel vac, the whole lot. The fish presenting, died anyway.

Read moreI supposed to have 2 appointments today for grooming ( both only wash, nails, gland) one express and one regular. Unfortunately because the lady who supposed to do the services, her name is Allison H having a bad attitude after I was required over the phone I will wait outside to pick up my dogs ( after I drove 1h) she said she need to keep Levis at least 3h there ( for only a wash, no haircut!!) . I trying to explain to her I was not informed I need to leave my dog ( by the way is a 5 lbs chihuahua, super lay dawn) but because apparently she doesn't have good skills and no training how to talk with a customer, she was keep repeating I need to leave my dog there ( like she didn't care about what I was talking about) I refuse to do the services! On top of that she invited the Manager to talk with me but same results, the manager said " anyway Allison will not do the services for Tobi eather because I upset her!" She mentioned she doesn't have another person too! I don't care what kind of day had Allison, she should put a smile on her face or if for her was a bad day, she should stay home!! No apologies accepted!! Now I invited someone, do you think I will leave Allison to take care of my fur babies!! Noooo Also I want to mention, I had appointment with my other dog ( Luna) and I had to cancel that too because of negative vibes salon and being disrespectful! Is the first tine in 6 years when I'm using PetSmart services and this is the last time, never happened to me before and I'm traveling all over usa !!
