UPDATE: The owner of this location called and spoke with me...He was very nice and listened to what I had to say...I am not angry with them, the situation just rubbed me the wrong way...It was very nice for them to reach out to me and really listen...I know this is a tough time for everyone and I want to support my local businesses. WE not ME :)
I don't usually have a problem with this place and I don't normally write bad reviews however, today when I went to order lunch for my co-workers and I ( we eat here at least once a week, this was my second time here this week) I had 4 separate orders and was told in drive thru over 3 orders I would have to go order curbside, I told her I could combine them and make it 3 and she got short with me and told me I can order around front, I said okay and went to the front to order. I forgot my phone so I could not call them, I sat there for a moment and a women came out and I explained to her what was going on. Each order had been written out by the person ordering and she said it was not problem...A few moments later a manager came out to tell me that for future orders we could order and pay online...He went on to talk about how people have ordered for people before with their cards and then one of them comes and says that they never ordered food and so on...I explained to him that I had never had a issue before with multiple orders however in the future I would make sure we ordered online so that we would not have a problem again...he went back inside and then came back out to me and asked me for ID...okay so I am all for security HOWEVER he started talking again about how I have so many cards (I had 3, my co-workers cards) and I and one other co-worker paid with cash. I'm pretty sure I know what he was implying and I didn't appreciate it. If you have a policy or a policy change then just inform people. I would have respected him if he would have said I'm sorry I can't fill your orders because we don't trust that those cards are not stolen, but you DID take the money and you DID take my ID which did not match ANY of the cards I gave you because they were all my co-workers cards...So did you copy my ID? How can I trust you didn't copy any of my co-workers cards?? If it wasn't for the fact that my co-workers were hungry and counting on me to bring them lunch since we hardly ever get time to eat because we work in the medical field, I would have cussed him out right there. I will NEVER spend my hard earned money here again. I will also be calling corporate. I didn't even want to give them 1 star if there was the option I would give them 5...
Read moreVery disappointed with this visit. Always been very pleased w the quality of service at my local Sonnys ,here in Zephyrhills. Unfortunately my last visit left much to be desired. I'm going to list my complaints only in hopes the management sees and will at least be aware that in today's information drenched world the service industry can never rest on it's laurels. You never know who's on the other side of that plate. 1st hostess was bland and not helpful, never said one word. Not hi not enjoy your meal not a smile nothing at all a slug has more personality. Although there were at least 4 hostesses all standing and waiting. 2nd waitress was not personable at all. She never asked sweet or un when I ordered my tea, n when it came to the table wrong rolled her eye when I asked for a new one. Dropped off plates never speaking. Never asked how our meal was. Never looked our direction ever that I saw. She had a generally undesirable attitude beginning to end. 3rd Sunday rib special night. I ordered the dryrub. Perhaps when preparing on Sundays rib special day your cooks shouldn't precook so much of the dryrubs After all if it's dry it may dry out to much to soon. Mine were so dry I liken them to being wrapped in jerky.
I will mention again this was not my typical visit. For some reason the service this visit was mediocre at best and across the board to boot. So please management your game has to step up in this day of Google Guides. Google Reveiws. This is the future, No room for a slack day anymore. Your next customer may have a faithful following and...
Read moreWe have ordered from here for curbside pickup several times during these COVID times. As we are always ordering 4 or more complete meals, there are lots of items with our orders. The staff are very friendly and work hard to get the order perfect every time. They usually have the order ready within 15 minutes, and usually closer to 10 minutes. The food is always excellent!!! Barbecue travels well for carryout. The side dishes are yummy. We all almost always get their St. Louis dry rubbed ribs with Sonny's famous barbecue sauce on the side. The portions are good. The order is always right and is hot and tastes fresh when we get it home. We always tip well to the carryout employee because they work hard to make sure everything is right! You can't go wrong here, whether eating in or going to the drive-thru, or ordering curbside pickup. Edit: i just spoke with Carson who just saved my mom's 75th birthday party. The Sonny's in Inverness dropped the ball on our order for barbecue beans for 60 people. The party is TOMORROW! I called Carson at our Zephyrhills Sonny's and he was incredible. I called at 4:30 this evening and he arranged to have 4 gallons of beans ready by tomorrow at 11AM!!! Unbelievable how kind and helpful he was! I was already a fan but now i am incredibly grateful to our local Sonny's for stepping up when we needed...
