For food and drink, the prices are surprisingly not too high. I got an affordable salmon salad and it was fine. Nothing special. The Frappuccino I also got was okay but maybe could’ve been sweeter.

There was a confusion where an employee tried to tell me that even with debit the minimum was 600 but when I got to the cash register it specified only for foreign cards. Although I had been speaking English with my Uruguayan friend when I was by the employee, they should’ve specified it didn’t apply to Uruguayan debit cards. I had added a scone I didn’t really want just to meet the minimum and then at the register I had to get it removed as I could use my Uruguayan debit card for less than 600.

*Just saw the owner’s response which made it seem like I was stating the card issue didn’t get resolved. I mentioned the card situation because the employee shouldn’t have assumed just because I was speaking English that I wouldn’t have a Uruguayan debit card. Their assumption almost resulted in me spending more money than planned. The employees should be specific when stating things AND the owner’s response should’ve acknowledged that rather than just relying on there being signs. Hace unos días fuí por primera vez, los alfajores muy ricos. El precio algo elevado a mi parecer por el tamaño de los mismos, pero nuevamente son deliciosos. Lo malo de la experiencia es que pedí algunos para llevar, como iba a tomar algo en el local me dijeron que esperara en la mesa que me preparaban el paquete para llevar y me lo alcanzaban en la misma. Me fuí del local y cuando abrí el paquete que había comprado me pusieron un alfajor de menos. Era el de limón, quizá al momento no quedaban más pero eso no es excusa. Lo correcto hubiera sido me hubieran informado y consultado para agregar otro alfajor de otro sabor ya que ese ME LO HABÍAN COBRADO IGUAL. Teniendo en cuenta todos salen lo mismo se podría haber hecho eso. Falta un poco más de comunicación y amabilidad por parte del personal, la verdad que es una pena, llegué contenta con la compra, pero al ver que no estaba todo como pedí y pagué me amargó la experiencia. Espero a futuro tengan en cuenta esta opinion y empiecen a comunicar estas cosas como se debe y/o en caso de dudas con un pedido vuelvan a consultarle al cliente para evitar estas cosas pasen. No está bueno pagar por algo que luego no te entregan como fué pedido.

Buen día no tengo la alternativa de responder así que edito mi comentario, no avisé en el momento porque como dije me di cuenta de lo que ocurrió cuando ya no estaba en el local y lejos del mismo. Olvidé mencionar que quién me acompañó cuando le conté lo sucedido dijo le pareció escuchar en el momento mientras tomabamos algo a alguien avisar que de limón no quedaban más. Obviamente pensamos era para avisarle a quiénes estaban llegando a comprar. a su vez escuchamos a una moza decir cuando pasó por nuestra mesa a dejar el pedido en voz baja algo sobre 3 Alfajores pero como fue sin mirarnos y luego siguió a otra mesa supusimos era el pedido de esas personas. Claro que todos podemos cometer errores, pero mantengo mi comentario sobre verificar con los clientes su pedido para evitarlos, nunca está demas hacerlo y atribuyo a esto como uno, por eso comenté esto por si pueden tener en cuenta hacer eso. I found this non descript place by chance. It's on a corner and you can easily pass by it with out noticing. Once inside, it was beautifully decorated - simple and inviting. The alfajores were nicely displayed with descriptions. I ordered two alfajores with a cup of coffee and sat in the cafe to enjoy. Coffee was excellent and the alfajores were fresh with just enough filling. Average cost per alfajores were $3.00 USD. Although I bought dozens of alfajores in Argentina, Peru and Paraguay to take home, I had to buy some from Uruguay because they were freshly baked, unlike the others which were individually packaged.
