This is the first bad review I have ever given. Normally I would just move on from bad food rather than write a bad review but the scammy pricing makes me write this.
Maybe we ordered the wrong things but the pasta and pizza were pretty bad.
The waiter was generally friendly though, I’ll say that.
But at the end he said it was +15% fee for credit card, so we paid cash. Perhaps somewhere on the super dark menu that you can barely read it says cash prices only …
But this makes no sense. At every other restaurant in Uruguay, foreigners paying with a credit card get a DISCOUNT from the headline price due to the tax refund. This place is preventing you from getting the refund. Why would they do this amongst all other restaurants we went to in the country? I can only assume they are taking it...
Read moreI went around 9PM on a Tuesday night. There didn't seem to be a whole lot open in the area, so this was already a great start! And it was! The service was great, the food was great, it was all great! But... the bread... it's magic. It's some kind of Arabic-style bread, and it is amazing! And the bonus? The music they played was absolutely fantastic. Go for the bread. Have a great dinner. And enjoy the music the younger ones are playing. It is some really good Uruguayan & Argentinian music....
Read moreIf you arrive between 5 and 7 pm during winter, you will almost have the place to yourself, which is not a bad thing. They prefer cash payment, and I believe the menu reflects cash prices. I paid with cash. However, I think they will accept card payment, but I don't know if the charge is the same when using card payments.
