Loco Amor — Hotel in Montevideo

Very unique hotel - the decor is very impressive and some of the artwork is incredible. It feels like a chic-hotel mixed with an art exhibition and museum of antiques.

Facilities are great: kitchen, dining area, and even free access to a washing machine (including detergent and softener). The solar-powered window lights are a great idea and worked perfectly in sync with the circadian rhythm - not seen these used before and they're a great solution for rooms with no natural light.

Location was perfect for exploring the old part of Montevideo.

The only negative was that the acoustics weren't great - so you might want to ask for a room upstairs if you don't want to be woken by those above you stomping around. However, they do provide ear plugs, and it was only an issue one night out of 3, and inconsiderate guests can hardly be blamed on the hotel.
