Montevideo Beer Company (MBC) — Restaurant in Montevideo

MBC has zero customer service and here is why.

We walked in at 7:30 p.m no one greeted us until we approached the host stand (where 5 staff members were just talking). They acted like we were bothering them.

We asked for a table for 2, there answer was: Tables who have a bottle are reserved (no further instructions). We went to the upstairs section only place we found a section without the bottle. We waited for 15minutes and no one approached us (mind you a lot of staff walked by us).

We discovered they have a machine where you can place your order (this information would have been useful as soon as we walked in). Once you place your order. You get a beeper.

If you order alcohol you have to use the receipt to go claim it at the bar (only downstairs not upstairs). The beeper is only for food.

We placed our order around 7:52 p.m. The beeper buzzed around 8:20. You go get the food out of a window downstairs.

The food just like the service is below average. Do not waster your time and hard earned money here.

Ps: we speak Spanish so there was no language barrier. They just simply do not care to serve their walking in/first time paying customers.

I've visited the place around 9 pm on a Saturday. It still had many tables without reservation (bottle on the table). It's just another concept so don't expect to be seated or served. It's a self service beer bar. I love it :) search a place without a bottle and sit down. You can order via machine or on the counter next to the door. The place fills fast. 9.30 all free tables are given away. The food was fast and delicious (10 to 15 minutes after ordering, it was quite empty) . I had an Oklahoma burger with very sour pickles (like in Germany in the "Rollmops". I loved it :D the music is at the beginning relaxing and turns up later. The beer is awesome. I enjoy the diferent types and can't wait...

En la noche de ayer viernes 19 de abril del 2024, dicidi ir con una amiga a este lugar, lo cual mi amiga desistió por x motivos … y termine yendo sola, para poder disfrutar de una hermosa noche bailando y brindando mi alegria … Todo iba bien, entre al lugar, las personas aun estaban terminando de cenar, porque aun no empezaba la hora del baile … en mi caso que salia de trabajar y ya habia cenado, solo fui a disfrutar de la banda que estaba invitada y tomarme un trago! De repente … 2 chicas, parecian de seguridad, vienen hacia mi h me dicen que las avompañe, que me tenia que retirar del lugar! Pedí explicaciones… me dijeron que l encargada no queria que yo estuviera ahi … y asi me hecharon del lugar sin ningun motivo y explicación!!! He sabido de casos anteriores de personas que las hab hechado por tener pantalones rotos! lo cual me vi interesada en escribirles por mensaje privado en el instagram, mandandoles una foto mia con tal vestimenta, para saber si podia ir vestida asi! y su respues (foto) fue que no estaba permitido el ingreso con pantalones rotos ni gorros! Cumpli con esa norma y aun asi me hechan!! Realmente me gustaria saber cual fue el motivo por el cual me hecharon de este lugar?! Sabiendo que no hice nada de malo, mas que...
