Own Montevideo Hotel — Hotel in Montevideo

I stayed 3 nights in the so called double standard room. My room was on the 6th floor overlooking the street. I enjoyed my stay at Own Montevideo. The room had a nice modern setup with a plenty of storage space, switches/power outlets in all the right places, many lighting fixtures. I could open windows and get a fresh air. The A/C worked fine. Wi-Fi was fine as well. ||The bathroom was of a decent size, with the separation between the sink and the toilet/shower. There was a window next to the bathroom sink, with a plenty of light coming in.||Everything was in decent shape and looked clean. I found the small shelf was missing in the shower but it didn’t bother me much.||Noise level was average. Nothing super loud that bothered me. ||The breakfast was adequate, with friendly personnel. One thing to know is that you have to specifically ask for coffee/tea and it will be brought to you. Everyone from the staff was very friendly and helpful.||The hotel is conveniently located. I walked to Pocitos/Montevideo sign and back. Everything is a short Uber ride away, with a plenty of Uber cars available. Uber ride to Buquebus terminal for direct ferry to BA at the morning took around 15 minutes.||If you arrive at MVD airport without a lot of luggage, you can take DM1 bus at the front of the terminal (84 pesos as of November 2022), get off at the last stop and walk ahead for 2 minutes and you are right there at the hotel door. Very convenient. ||All in all, everything was good, as it seems like everything else in Montevideo. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and am giving it 5 stars review. I certainly...

Hotel novo,  muito bem projetado e com arquitetura que difere dos prédios da região.

Localização excelente,  algo em torno de 200 metros do Shopping Punta Carreiras e 250 metros da Rambla (umas das principais vias a beira Rio del Plata). Com toda gama de serviços e facilidades no redor.

O atendimento do staff é ágil,  rápido e sem rodeios,  sempre simpáticos e vivos. Nota-se a política do hotel de ter funcionários jovens a frente de todos os setores, no que tomar um hotel dinâmico e jovem.

O quarto que fiquei hospedado (06) é amplo,  na faixa de 40m2 para mais,  iluminação intimista, decoração clean,  cama queen size mega confortável, mesa de apoio,  televisão de LCD 42 polegadas com programação de satélite em HD (inclusive canal brasileiro) O banheiro possui uma arquitetura diferenciada e atual - ele é de box com exaustores, com isso a 'acústica' não favorece aqueles momentos de flatulência e a área de banho acaba sempre melhorada decido o box não não continuação até o final, coisa da arquitetura.  O chuveiro,  pressão e a temperatura da água são sensacionais.

Café da manhã é servido no café anexo do hotel,  em ambiente intimista,  com som ambiente e serviço de garçom.  Tem uma ótima e saborosa variedade de pães,  grãos,  frutas,  cafés,  além de omelete preparado na hora (basta pedir para o garçom).

No terceiro, encontrar a área social do hotel,  terraço bar com parrilla e piscina (com trocado de calor)  sempre morna,  espreguiçadeiras e som ambiente com vista para a Rambla.

Dispõem de vaga de garagem,  porém elas são limitadas,  mas a rua é bem tranquila,  sempre tem alguma vaga disponível e super segura.  Deixamos o carro alugado praticamente na porta da recepção.

Dica 1: evite os quartos 04, 05 e 06, pois são no térreo e próximos ao Café,  ocasionando maior barulho de hóspedes chegando na recepção ou da cozinha logo cedo ou tarde do café.  Fiquei hospedado no quarto 06 e o barulho não chega a ser um impeditivo,  mas é um pouco incômodo pela manhã.

Dica 2: no terceiro andar,  ao lado do elevador tem um banheiro muito bem higienizado para aqueles momentos que o ruído e os odores podem lhe constranger diante a acústica do banheiro do quarto.

Caso volte a Montevideo,  certeza que ficarei...

Stayed 3 nights, arrived late evening Gent on reception was friendly checking us. Room was good but faced a wall with another hotel room at a 90° angle so curtains closed all time. In a good location near beach and big shopping centre. Breakfast was difficult it's served in a very narrow room 2m or so and everyone is having to move around everyone else and the small tables, breakfast staff don't seem happy. Despite the nice guy who checked us in every time we entered or left the hotel reception staff didn't speak or make eye contact. Then the building work which started early morning.
