Phước Mỹ An Hotel — Hotel in Đà Nẵng

Do not book to stay here. They are currently running a scam where they list their hotel on all major websites during busy periods and then the hotel staff give a myriad of fake excuses why the hotel cannot facilitate your booking. Among the causes given to us (in order as we began to escalate the issue)

-the hotel is under renovation and not open yet (something which became quite obviously not true as people checked out while we stood there, prompting a new lie)

-the hotel is currently under the ownership of the vietnamese ministry of defense and cannot be booked (seeing as we saw small children running around, I don't think they have officers that young)

-the ex-owner is a scam artist who places their hotel online to trick tourists, they have rang the police but the police do nothing (they have a review from 4 days ago on google, seems awful convenient)

And so on and so forth. The reception staff this entire time mostly sat on tiktok and took selfish, the manager a gruff looking man in a shirt came down but would only talk to them and not to us. At no point did we raise our voice or shout (we are not those kinds of people) but he still said he did not want to talk to us....

We stayed in the ocean view room which was quite spacious and clean with a full sea view. Nothing great about the overall hotel as far as the aesthetics are concerned but a good deal at the price we paid. The hotel is not at the beach as may appear in some of the pictures but it is at a 5 mins walkable distance from the beach. This hotel is centrally located & there are multiple mini marts and restaurants nearby. Decent breakfast with few options for cakes and pastries as well. Though language can be a barrier at times if you request something specific but overall it's manageable as the staff is quite helpful and friendly. We had a comfortable stay however, the hotel felt more like a place for corporate events and less touristy not sure if it was because of the off season (we visited in December). Breakfast The breakfast, however, was a big disappointment and a huge minus. It was very poor and unappealing. The kitchen staff's behavior was completely out of line for a 4-star hotel. They were clumsy and dressed sloppily. If you were even a little late, you'd be left with nothing to eat, as there was already so little food, and it wasn't tasty. The cake slices weren't fresh, and there was almost nothing left. On top of that, the staff serving the food would start eating what was left right in front of you. The breakfast service was absolutely terrible.
