I visited Sushimaru to celebrate my birthday and satisfy my sushi cravings. The restaurant has counter seating only, with 9 seats available. I like to sit at the bar so I can watch the sushi chef prepare my dishes.
I ordered the Set 5 (VND 540.000) from the dinner menu. The set includes a salad, 3 types of sashimi, nigiri sushi, hosomaki, aburi maki, chawan mushi, and miso soup. I am not a fan of chawan mushi, so I asked the staff to swap it for chuka wakame. They were happy to accommodate my request. The service at Sushimaru is excellent. The staff is attentive and accommodating.
I would recommend the Set 5 for a group of 3 people. The portion sizes are generous. My husband and I finished our salad and sashimi, but we could only eat about three quarters of the nigiri sushi and half of the aburi maki. 🍣 Back to Sushimaru, this is so far the best sushi place ive been trying in Da Nang, the sashimi dishes are so fresh, especially tuna and hokkigai. The price is too good for the quality. There are not many dishes but all of them are well made and worth a try every time i take a visit. In short, the taste is fresh, cooling and well taken care of.
The store is small, neat and cleaned with only one counter, you can watch the chefs doing their works, the Japanese ambience is so soothing. The staffs and chefs can speak Japanese pretty well also!
Soooo: highly recommended ✨ Also, only taking cash or through...
Read moreIn my opinion, this is one of the best spots in the Japanese sushi bar category. The food quality and the chef’s craftsmanship are outstanding. The tuna is incredible—both the local Vietnamese and the Japanese bluefin are consistently top-tier. I lived in the area and for nearly two months had lunch mostly here, and every visit was a genuine pleasure. The atmosphere is warm and uplifting, and the food feels energizing—just one portion leaves me feeling pleasantly satisfied and fulfilled. I also want to highlight the team: they’re attentive, friendly, and highly professional. The place radiates care and hospitality. I’m always happy to come back here to eat. Highly...
