Great food and friendly service at an embarrassingly low price... Fungi Chingu: loosely translated, "Mushroom friend." (Note: I'm not a meat eater, so check other reviews for the BBQ.) I had the Crispy Rice Rolls (gimbap/sushi, $1 USD) and the Korean Pancake (containing seafood and green onion -- also $1) and both were very tasty. As with most Korean restaurants, kimchee and pickles are included with all meals. If I had wanted a simple green salad, it would only have cost $1.50. The service was courteous, and management helpful. I tried to buy lunch around 2 pm earlier in the day, not knowing they close between lunch and dinner (2-5 pm). A sympathetic greeter invited me to sit down and wait out the passing rain shower anyway, and she brought me a complimentary bottle of water -- which I politely refused, having carried my own supply, and not wanting to add to the plastic waste stream. Needless to say, I gladly returned later for dinner. It's easy to see why the place is so popular (arrive early to avoid a wait), because the high ratings are...
Read moreHaving endured poor and sometimes unfriendly service in some eateries in Dalat over the past few days, the staff here were wonderful. All the way from Mr Thai, the person in charge, to Ms Yén and the other staff in the restaurant, their sincere and warm smiles and service helped to enhance a wonderful dining experience.
We ordered beef, pork and chicken, and these were grilled, cut and presented by one of the staff. My favorite was the pork, which was full of flavour, though my wife felt it was a little fatty. The beef was marinated well and delicious and was soft after cooking. With the spicy sauce, it reminded me fondly of the satay that we have back home. The chicken was also delicious, though we were pretty full by then. We received a nice bowl of salad from Ms Yén and the greens were very fresh and tasty.
Including two non alcoholic drinks, the meal came up to @615,000 VND, which we felt was pretty reasonable for the quality of the dishes and the great service.
If we are back this way, we will definitely dine here again. Highly...
Read moreWe came to this bbq one of the nights and found the food very nice. After 2 days , we went back again at about 8.15pm for dinner and the manager said the restaurant was full and she could not accept us. We were quite disappointed and at the same time wonder what time do restaurants in Dalat close. This was the 3rd restaurant we went to that night and all the restaurants said they were closed when the closing time was stated as 10pm. Nevertheless, we went back the next night and the manager was so nice to give us 2 bottles of house specialty rice milk because we did not manage to eat at their restaurant the day before. The staff were very nice and they really know their customers well. Thank you and a big thumbs up to the staff who served us too. She remembered what meat we ordered the...
