Nothing more than a photogenic coffee shop. Kudos for the team for making this place with such a great ambience and they're well-known for their storytelling, marketing technique. But sadly, that's all they have (in my opinion). Overrated place, advertised with specialty coffee, they tried hard with the coffee roaster machine and try to leverage that but they couldn't make it. Beautiful coffee bean jute bags tucked in the backside of the counter but also 1 big plastic bag of coffee beans widely opened on the floor without anything below it (hygiene, and to me, it's not a proper way) The shelves were covered with dust. The chairs look all nice, made with good cushion and leather but need maintenance, super uncomfortable to sit. And food and drink quality are below average with ridiculous expensive price. I don't even know why I should pay that much for the bland coconut mouse, even dry on the surface. Totally disappointed, egg salted coffee was turned out that they put the real salted egg, you can even taste it, it was weird in the smooth and creamy texture of drink found some pieces of the eggs. Cocoa cup didn't have any boldness from the ingredient itself, half iced cup. Serving time was also slow, meanwhile they could simply just take the cake out first then pass to customers meanwhile making the drinks but it took them forever to bring out the cake. Try for once and never be back. They have the potential to grow bigger but too bad, maybe it's enough for them with these low food quality and low maintenance of...
Read moreHaving previously visited the Quang Trung branch, I came to this location with fairly high expectations but overall, it felt a bit underwhelming. The parking area is decent, not too spacious but not cramped either and there’s a guard on hand to assist.
The first thing I noticed was how chatty the staff were with each other. They seemed more focused on their own conversations than on the guests, which came across as a bit unprofessional, though it didn’t bother me too much. Like the Quang Trung branch, orders are made by scanning a QR code.
Even though the place wasn’t busy when I arrived, my drink still took about 15 minutes to be served. Prices for both drinks and food are on the higher side compared to your average coffee shop, but that seems to be part of the “All Day” concept: customers are welcome to stay as long as they like to work or relax, which many around me were doing. I didn’t order any food myself, but several people nearby had full meals, some even large enough for dinner.
Upstairs, where I sat, the staff were polite and attentive, handling orders carefully. However, when I went back downstairs to settle the bill, the staff there once again seemed disengaged, barely noticing the customers. These small lapses added up and made the overall experience feel a bit lacking compared to my visit to the Quang...
Read moreGreat place with spacious and lounge like seating on the 2nd floor. Feels very clean even though it is busy and quite full at times. The bathrooms are well-equipped and maintained with thoughtful amenities esp for girls.
I like the traditional design that keeps it grounded in character yet modern amenities; does not feel like just another coffee shop. I like the story and origin of the place. The big windows are a plus and I would often look out to shift focus.
Even though you need to enter a local phone number to use the wifi the staff was nice and easily entered an answer. Also came by to offer water once in a while and their manners are gentle.
It’s the kind of place you can lounge and linger because the space is so inviting. Only thing was some inconsiderate / attention seeking girls talking loudly while everyone else having conversations is more hushed or normal yet no one said anything to them. Was so much better and could actually enjoy the cafe once they left.
I thought the flat top spoon was so smart - not sure if everywhere has this. But it’s clever and is like a cousin to the regular...
