We went there for lunch, ordered 1 portion and asked them to bring it out first, then drinks. Then a few mins the rest of the meal.

Kitchen was really slow. Granted, it was around 11:50 AM with the restaurant being almost full but it took 45-50 mins for the drinks to be served and the first portion to come.

The food was mediocre at best, especially considering the high price tag. We went to another Botejyu restaurant at a different Vincom and found that 1) the price was the same, 2) the portion here was significantly smaller, and 3) the protein portion was ridiculously tiny. We came with a small baby and were in a rush after waiting for the food for too long so we forgot to take a picture to compare with the other place.

I have been here twice and have been delighted both times. Their ingredients are very fresh - I’d say in terms of freshness they are comparable to the most fancy Japanese restaurants you can find in Hanoi. Their menu is wide-ranged (you can find most popular Japanese dishes here), and so far I haven’t found a weak spot.

For this newly opened location, it appeared that they had temporarily relocated their staff from Saigon to Hanoi (judging by their accents). Which was another sign I liked - they seemed to strive for excellence in service.

Good dining experience with an appropriate value for money meal. The restaurant is clean. Food presentation is appealing and detail oriented. It's rare to receive salad served in chilled crockery in this restaurant category, nice touch. Lots of of choice on the menu reflecting Japanese regional favourites. This is a chain restaurant with headquarters in Japan and restaurants all over East and Southeast Asia. If you are looking for fancy Japanese dining you may want to go somewhere else.
