Cafe de Flore 46 — Restaurant in Hà Nội

We headed down to Cafe De Flore 46 after dinner for some coffee and to celebrate my friend’s birthday. The cafe is well renovated and was to my liking because the place was quiet. I walked into the cafe with my girlfriend and puppy.

I was then greeted with a sulking and unwelcoming face by their so called manager, a lady with really short hair, glasses and white shirt. She came up to me, looked elsewhere and tell us we need to sit outside because we are with a dog. We then asked if it’s ok to sit at the open yard at the back and once again with no eye contact he replied yes.

Now I get why the cafe is nice and quiet with us being the only customers. Under normal circumstances I would walk out without hesitation but as I mentioned we were there for a birthday get together.

To me, attitude is the most important. We don’t need to be treated like VIPs or bosses but basic respect is expected. We are customers who spend money to have a nice and enjoyable time. We did not pay money to be disrespected.

I hope the management will look into the incident. It is such a shame for a nice cafe with decent food to have staff with who are disrespectful and...

This cafe is attached to the Jardin Hotel on the street level. Came in for an easy dinner. I had the green apple 🍏 pear 🍐 and strawberry 🍓 ice tea and my husband had the watermelon 🍉 juice.
