Cham Cantonese Kitchen - Melia Hanoi — Restaurant in Hà Nội

Nice place, high quality ingredients, but I think the chef has tried to be a little too creative in some ways and not quite reached expectations for somewhere with solid 5 star reviews.

The beer we ordered took 15 minutes to start with, tuna tataki had next to zero flavour, xiaolongbao was oversized and difficult to eat, scallops were very fresh and plump but the sauce was overly sweet.

The beef with steamed buns was exceptional though and a clear standout for flavour, but was served with a random bunch of cherry tomatoes that we didn't know what to do with and not much else.

Also, when the live music started downstairs it was competing with the music in the restaurant which ruined the ambience.
