It seems like they always have customers so the food turns over and that usually indicates inventory is fresh. The taste validates that. Staff is friendly, helpful and smiles a lot. My first visit i ate a Vietnamese sandwich , a crusty roll filled with grilled pork and shredded cucumber, carrots slightly sweetly pickled. I'm used to getting this style sandwich brimming with hot peppers in San Jose so that made it taste a little bland but the pork was lean and grilled crunchy which is the flavor i love. Today I'm having an omelette sandwich and wishing i had ordered the grilled pork. The vibe of this place is really wonderful since it is in an exclusive yet still cheap zone along the lake. They play good, modern upbeat music and have roadside seating. Currently the view is of construction of a new sidewalk but you can see the lake peeking through the greenery of some massive trees. But you're not going to care because clientele and staff are beautiful people! The drinks menu includes lots of fresh fruit and herbal drinks. I got the best ginger tea I've ever tasted here! Quick bites. Trendy. Vegetarian....
Read moreHad been recommended this place by a few friends, and I have to say - no regrets. The menu offers a mix of salads, sandwiches, traditional Vietnamese dishes and a decent selection of drinks as well. It's written both in English and Vietnamese, and there's plenty to choose from, be you vegan, vegetarian or omnivore. Had the Bun Chay (vegetarian noodles - darn those were amazing). Comes with spring rolls, lettuce and other veggies, peanuts (because, well, Vietnam), special sauce as well and let me tell you - there's more than enough food in there, the portions are more than reasonable. The price is Vietnamese-based, service staff speaks English as well, indoor and outdoor seating available too. Free ice tea comes with the meal (try it, it was really good when we went), and well... Just a chill, more than reasonably priced and delicious little restaurant to get your fix of...

Friendly staff, clean environment, nice low background beats and sometimes fresh tasty food (if you're lucky) coupled with reasonable prices (when they don't serve you last night's rejects)
Loses 2 stars because when you order any dish with a sauce (eg pepper sauce beef) you get strips of fatty scraps. Meatballs are tasty but made of mystery mammal!
Their smoothies and other prepared beverages are unconvincing (watery/pre-mixed) and priced almost parallel to starter and course prices.
I like it's potential and I'd like to go back but if I ever do I will definitely question delivery quality before I order.
Could easily be 4 stars if it sidesteps the old "slip it to the foreigner vibe" and delivers fair and just quality.
Stay away from items covered in sauces/gravies designed to camouflage...
