After living in Vietnam for over 7 years, I can honestly say that The Waffle House has delivered one of the best dining experiences I’ve had here. The portions were generous, the service was outstanding, and the flavors were absolutely heavenly.

I ordered the apple crumble waffle, and it was pure perfection — rich, warm, comforting, and beautifully balanced in sweetness and texture. It truly felt like a little piece of home on a plate. While the hash brown could use a little fine-tuning, everything else was so delicious that it hardly mattered.

What truly set The Waffle House apart was the incredible service. I accidentally knocked over my jug of espresso, but the staff were beyond gracious — rushing to help, smiling, and making sure I still enjoyed my meal without making me feel embarrassed. Their kindness, professionalism, and warmth are truly unmatched — the best service I’ve experienced anywhere in Vietnam.

After a morning of exercising around West Lake in the extremely hot weather of Hanoi as usual in July, I decided to enjoy lunch here at The Waffle House. From the moment I stood in front of the door until I sat at the table, I was greeted by the friendliness of the security guard and the staffs. I ordered a House Burger, a Green Dragon and a Matcha Waffle dessert, all of which were enthusiastically introduced to me by the staffs. The quality of the dishes was just enough to meet my needs, delicious and beautifully decorated, but because I was too hungry and tired at that time, I ate without taking a photo. The place overall is very pleasant and cool, the decoration creates a cozy feeling, the soft music combined with the cheerful communication of the staffs amused me. I chose a seat right next to the bar and observed the quick and professional work of the baristas, especially the redhead girl named Ha Anh. Was walking down the street looking for a place to have breakfast before departing for the airport. Their staff, Duc Anh, welcomed us in despite it being at least half an hour before their official opening time. He was friendly, polite and spoke quite good English so there wasn’t a communication barrier. We were impressed by the food when it arrived; everything looked and tasted great! Kudos to the chef, Trang Khanh. The hot chocolate wasn’t too milky as well and didn’t taste diluted (as compared to another cafe that we visited on another day).
