Very nice exterior and interior. I can tell they put a lots of effort to make nice atmospheres. But waiter seems to need more training for recommendation for food and wine. They seem they don’t know about the food yet. So as i go there first time i got lost too. But they were very friendly. wish they had better table towel (?) then just tissue. Because nan i eat with my hands but only just tissue (that you can find in street food restaurants) seems just little bit missing something for that nice atmospheres. For the outside concrete bench was beautiful with the plants behind but i wish there was something cushions. It was little comfortable and so hard to sit entire time. I felt like they just few one so missing little things but by the time and little improvements there will be fantastic restaurant. Food was little bit intense for me. But nan was amazing. Plating was great.

Ordered Tandoori Chicken, Mixed Vegetables, Raita, Dahl Mukammal, and a garlic naan. The tandoori chicken randomly comes out 10 minutes before everything else and is cold by the time the naan or the raita arrives. So that kind of put me off immediately, how could you make such a basic mistake. The papadum didn't even arrive until after the tandoori chicken and was far too salty and oily. The raita had way too many spices in it and just didn't make any sense, the dahl was so creamy you might as well call it a bisque, it lost all sense of what a dahl should taste like by having that much fat in it. Mixed vegetables were really good, the curry it was served with was perfect, but if you are going to throw tofu in with an item called "mixed vegetables" you should say that in the menu. Garlic naan was fine but slightly over greasy.
Overall I wouldn't return, with the current prices you're better off going to one of the other Indian places in town that are cheaper. How long must we wait until we can even get the same quality of Indian food that Saigon has, let alone...
Read moreThe restaurant front is very impressive with a wired mesh saari design. The interior is as impressive with large portraits of Indian royalty and gurus, classy furniture and other interesting design elements.
After mainly having streetfood this past week in Hanoi, it felt like a luxurious treat to sit down at a restaurant. The owner is very friendly and hospitable.
Food wise: there are many options to choose from. There's a small selection of snacks in the form of pickled veggies and poppadoms that are served complimentary. Randomly, my main course of chicken tandoori came out (sizzling wildly on a hot serving rock) while we were still having our samosa starter. The chicken was slightly overcooked (possibly because it was still being cooked on the flamboyant way of serving it), but it was good in flavour. Not as much of a curry/spicy taste in any of the food that one would expect from Indian cuisine.
Overall, not a bad experience and I would recommend this if you're after a break from Vietnamese food and looking for a step up in luxury (and price!). Average main meal was in the range of VD 120k, sides at...
