I had 2 lunch set today with mom. 1 for 28000 vnd and the other for 38000 vnd.
Iberico steak with pepper sauce was nice. The pork steak was soft, juicy and tasteful.
Beside the steak, nothing went well.
1st the coffee machine was broken so I couldn't order coffee to wash my mouth between or after the meal. I ordered red Sangria and didn't like it- too much cinnamon and rum.
G12 Foie gras menu was disappointing. I couldn't feel the deep rich foie gras taste since they made it foiegras moose texture. Left blend, light, and less strong taste. Just not enough taste..
The spaghetti was too heavy after eating the tapas sets for appetizer. They should have given the tomato balsamic salad between the tapas and the main menu, not before. Meaty cheesy and heavy taste of tapas followed oily steak and thick cream spaghetti right after.
Tapas was not fresh. Both bread and meat were cold and dry.
I couldn't enjoy the cream brullee for the dessert. Overall the tapas, spaghetti and steak were too oily creamy cheesy and heavy. I didn't want another sweet heavy cream afterwards.
Since I enjoyed set lunches at Salmonoid, I had some expectations. But it didn't meet my expectations at all after paying more than 1000000vnd for today's lunch.
I hope they balance the flow of tastes so that their customers can enjoy more. And don't forget to use fresh good ingredients. Nuts tasted too spoiled, herb (basil) cuts were brown, bread was hard and dry.
And finally, why on earth did you put corn flakes with the Iberico steak? They heated the corn flakes with butter and cheese so it came out leather like texture (not crispy) plus another oily food. It didn't taste right nor act like a helpful side for the steak. Tasted like microwaved
Just put ordinary French fries and they would taste better. Or steamed broccoli, cauliflower, mashed potato, tomatoes, salad, peas, mushrooms, corns, pickle, anything but not the weird...
Read moreThe Security outside is super sweet. He meets you like a royalty and you have a perfect mood to come in. Very delicious food. Melting smoked cheese on the beef steak was adorable. Starters are very interesting and tasty. Wine was okay:)) chocolate cake - disaster. It's very bad. Hard, dry and tasteless. I had my birthday. So, I'm satisfied but. We were very unlucky to have that waiter. My friend came first and asked him to bring a vase for a bouquet, he said they don't have any vases. He just put a chair next to the table and stood there flowers. Yeah, without anything. Later he took a bucket and thank you for that. We were waiting for our steak for 50 minutes. When we asked about it he said that it's in a process and we heard that they started preparing it. We were on the second floor, near the kitchen. We asked about well-done, it was medium. He took it back and they just fried it again🙈 guys, look at your price! What a shame. Then he packed food for take away, brought the boxes, I asked for a bill. He brought the cake. That chocolate cake which I never recommend you to order there. Usually it comes with an ice-cream. And....he brought the cake without forks/spoons/knifes. Anything. Yes, I'm patient and yes, I was waiting for a while. But I saw him standing at the cashier desk doing nothing, so I went and asked for cutleries. Honestly, everything was too long and too tiring. Service is bad. When I see such price, I want to have not only tasty food, but also a...
Read moreThis restaurant was recommended to me by one of my friends. My girlfriend and I went here for our anniversary and only one of us had a good time. The atmosphere was pretty mysterious and feels elegant I will give them that plus the parking is spacious. The staff was friendly, I enjoyed my interactions with him throughout the night. To address the elephant in the room, the food itself, it was pure disappointment. We ordered the first set menu if I remembered correctly. most of the food was okay at best with the taco salad being, I quote from what I said to the waiter “the most mediocre thing I have had since I started fine dining”. I normally don’t like to speak out too much on a negative experience as I know it can impact a restaurant yet I can’t let this one slide. The taco salad single handedly ruined my night, it was a total mess. I had a bite and sat there for 10 minutes trying to make sense of what I just tasted. The soft flour tortillas, the bitter dressing, the cold meat (by the way the duck confit was not good in comparison to the ones I had in France) they just don’t work together. 10 ingredients in a salad and all I can taste at the end of each bite is the flour from the tortillas. That’s enough for my rant, you get the idea it was so bad I didn’t even bother getting a picture
Overall, service was great vibe was great but the most important part, the food which was an utter...
