Bánh ướt - Bún Mọc 43 — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I'm reviewing the morning shift of the restaurant which serves Bánh Ướt. The dísh itself was pretty standard. I enjoyed it. I suspect they make their own meat, but something was off. A bit too fatty maybe. The service was really nice. Friendly and warm. That's something I really liked, in a country where service is usually very bad. The place itself is above average. It's their home like many other places. It is relatively clean. 40k for a fairly small portion is a bit expensive.

Now, the problem is, there is another place out in the streets 30sec away on foot that serves better Bánh Ướt and more of it for 15k less.

They sell bánh ướt in the morning and bún mọc later in the day. I haven't tried their bún mọc but I usually get bánh ướt here for breakfast. The freshly-made rice sheets had such an amazing texture: thin, silky, and chewy. They definitely don't skimp on the bean sprouts and herbs here. The crunch of blanched vegetables provides such a nice contrast with the rice sheets. Their chả lụa (pork sausage) is homemade. I usually buy half a kilogram at a time and it always comes warm.
