A 4-YEAR long utterly horrible toilet in this branch of den da in Pasteur D1. As a young Lady from new jersey, this is important to us: toilet and menu affordability
The plastic cups too, has been changed to cheap looking ones, we used to have the THICK plastic cup in clear transparent, now they used the cheaper thin black cup. Above all else, increasing the prices horribly TWO times in this year alone. Absolutely NO good👎👎👎 My friends from Pakistan and French colleage used to hang out here in the morning as it can get crowded at night. This was suppose to be the hotspot at night during the pandemic years 2020. Yet despite having good sales beside thuc cafe before and even today, They left the toilet in this branch unattended always broken faucet, very stinky foul odor. Always left without soap, liquid soap dispenser is always empty. Over all very dirty and left out broken toilet for years. So Disgusting.
As we all know the cost of tea leaf is almost worthless very cheap, they initialy sell at 35k for the pure jasmine tea, then they raise it to 38k. Just a few months ago, they Notoriously RAISE the price again and again to 48k and now its INCREASED again more than 50k for that simple pure tea without any toppings. This is so absolutely outrageous.
We and some of my females friends have shifted our hang out in the morning to some other elegant cafe like mixue that offers a better menu of 15k with a jasmine and oolong with lemon. Plus they offer good aircon and proper toilet with bidet washers, soap dispenser available always.
the VN tradition of serving the FREE TEA beside ur paid cup - this is no longer visible. So sad. if u think its expensive to serve a cheap tea, Some would openly offer it in a jar full of tea FREE to everybody in the streets.
the real Vietnamese tradition of serving BOTH coffee and FREE fresh pure tea is a MUST and it is expected but this no longer been serve in this cafe anymore. So sad.
Tea leaves cost almost NOTHING so cheap yet they cut cost this which is so ilogical non negotiable matter.
they have the habit of putting too much ICE ICE ICE. All cup all branch serve like this same as other big cafes. After just few minutes the real content is diluted with ice and water eeeewww So utterly disgusting I hope they can finally REMOVE this ice habit. Cost of tea and tea is CHEAP THUS NO NEED to cut cost by adding too much ICE. The menu are full of syrup additives jelly balls gross toppings - its not natural anymore
MUST have in menu: pure jasmine / oolong with fresh Lemon / some fruits for alternative option against the smaller cafes at 15k and 20k, some even give free flowing refill as this is just a pure tea in the sidewalk jar. Like a pure Jasmine with kumquat 25k
For us the digital nomads and most of the customers who make orders in cafe several times daily, This is NOT recomended at all, it is NOT a daily cafe that can be think of.
Food in cafe are not affordable, substandard small serving and over expensive as we can go for 15k 20k Mi tron / Banh mi with eggs some veggie. We need denda to serve banh mi chabong with opla 20k and 25k with meat, com chien 20k mi xao bo 25k and com Thit kho 30k com ga xoi mo.
Small Camping chairs is not available, no outdoor camping chair most of branches - this is suppose to maintain the TRUE cafe culture of VN.
As shown in other reviews, they act rudely and dont like to follow request of customers, after we have paid our orders, the female staff would often avoid us as we can detect she does not want to address our issues, some staff has that habit of laughing out and some even prefer to be rude fighting off the customer. yeah we all know that we are just minority foreigners but the fact we paid in full we expect the SAME EQUAL treatment with locals. U have the right to dislike anyone BUT please Never mix your own personal DRAMA in the work area. Period. U have nice concept and store design BUT sadly to say, When can u guys ever learn proper...

Read moreThere were 2 of us went there. It wasn't easy tomorder due to languange barrier, so what we did, we took picture of their drink menu. I pointed mixed berries smootie only and mentioned berries few times. She confirmed my order by saying berries with 1 order & I confirmed it. My friend paid the bill and we went to our seat. When I checked the bill, there were 2 smoothies and 1 ice coffee, so we went back to check. She said we order 2 smoothie and I was very adamant that I ordered berries smoothies only. She didn't want to refund or cancel the other smoothies with reason all have been made. I asked which smoothie us is done and I will take that one. Instead of responding my suggestion, she went ahead and open the cashier and took the money out and refund us. She was saying smth in Vietnamese and was being rough with the cashier, making noises and show her attitude. We knew she wasn't happy about it.
After that incident, we waited for our drinks for 30 min, which it was weird when earlier she said our order was done already so no refund.
So, if you are going there, please check your bill before leaving...
